@ctxak98 Love the new avatar! Modern Times! I think I wouldn't add a whole King Kong scene but add him in the background of the Singin' In the Rain scene (sort of like Ursula). Tour Guide would be like, "One of my favorites Gene Kelly from Singin' in the Rain...BLAH...But watch out in the city. As you'll see in the distance, King Kong is on his way, 'ROOOAAARRRR!!!!!!!'"

I think RnRC should have a Roxy Theater facade but keep the superstrech guitar and gate. However instead of saying ROXY on the exterior it would say G-FORCE for G-Force records. Next lnd will be coming soon.

I am also a big fan of Sunset Boulevard, that said, the BATB show is outdated, and while I would love to replace it with an updated version, It's run it's course for now I think. I would replace the theater with a lovely new indoor theater, very plush and very posh. Inside would be an updated version of the new Cruise Line Show "Disney Wishes" the name would change and details would change to. (They wouldn't be visiting Disneyland, but rather Disney's Hollywood Studios). It's a very long show so it would be marketed like an event, almost along the lines of Fantasmic or the American Idol Finale show. It would probably have three shows per afternoon, and be paired with a new Restaurant "Oscar's." which would feature homages to classic Oscar winning films.

I'm not sure exactly what to do with the theatre, one option would be the Carthay Circle, which would then of course, require an exterior refurbishment on the current Carthay Circle Facade along the street. If anyone else has any suggestions feel free.

--------

That's just my idea, but we all seem to be of one mind to replace BATB. In my mind, I would like to keep it a show, just make it an indoor theater. (But I also have a plan to include a Newsies show in the Premier Theater, and replace Little Mermaid with a ride) so that just happens to fit best in my head.

Here's a Video of some Highlights:

If you don't want to spoil it, It's about three kids who are at Grad Night at Disneyland and headed off to college. One of them throws a penny into Snow White's Magic Wishing Well and Wishes for the "Ride of their lives" (which is an original song for the show). They are then of course transported through various Disney Classics.

One of the things I like about it is the legitimate character development. The Boy character goes on an adventure with Hercules (while the muses sing Zero to Hero) which starts to bolster his confidence. One girl sings about her worries with Mulan in a beautiful Honor to us all/Reflection medley. The other girl, who wants to go to school for dance, is encouraged by Pinocchio in an upbeat version of "I've got no strings." One of my favorite moments is Kiss the Girl, when Sebastian encourages the boy and one of the girls to share their feelings for each other.

It's a really sweet show, and it's also very upbeat and hip. It really fits the tone of Hollywood Studios. It's well written and would appeal to Disney Channel Tweens, Kids who just like to see the characters, and it features a wide array of characters from Rapunzel to King Louie, so there is something for every generation.

The next land in my DHS will be Hollywood Hills. This would continue the classic Hollywood feel of the Boulevards. It's entrance would be right from the Roxy Plaza and back to the right. My ideas for this land in next post...

(PAUSE) By the way, on thelanted island where the hat used to be, I would move the cameraman statue there. Like Partners at Magic Kingdom.

HOLLYWOOD HILLS
The weenie(s) drawing you into this area would be the Hollywood sign up in the distance on the "hills" and the Egyptian Theater. The Egyptian Theater would house "Wally Watson's STAR SHOWCASE HOLLYWOOD SPECTACULAR!". This would be a sort of exhibit of famous and classic Hollywood props, costumes and set pieces. Also inside would be a small merch./food location. Also along the whole sidewalk along the street and plaza would be a Florida version of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Speaking of the Hollywood Hills Plaza. Along this mid walkway, you would find the statue and fountain from Buena Vista Street in CA. More later...

Also, the Red Car Trolley would run along the four classic Hollywood lands (one more after this). Along this street would be F, F, & P Cafe, Elias & Co. and Atwater Ink & Paint. The main ride here would be Dick Tracy's Crimestoppers. Also here would be the El Capitan Theater: Now Showing "Hooray for Hollywood!", a musical adventure of a rising star who goes from the bottom to the top of Tinseltown. When wandering down the street, you would even find the Walt Disney Theater, a real movie theater that will often be used to premier movies filmed at the park (we'll get to that later) or otherwise. Lastly you would find the Chaplin Studios, a small cluster of buildings featuring the classic architecture of Charlie's studio. The main feature of this area would be "Slapstick! at the Chaplin Studios", a disaster soundstage show once planned for MGM.

The second half would be an exhibit of Charlie Chaplin artifacts and small theaters showing his movies. Another great part of this area would be the Modern Times Comedy Club. It would be a restaurant where live music and stand-up are performed, but the whole restaurant, including the servers, are black & white. Every hour, the screen in the front starts to play the Nonsense Song scene from Chaplin's Modern Times until the room darkens and a live "Tramp" actor pops through the screen, continuing the song (a la Cinemagique). Also from this area would be an alternate entryway to the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater.

Your park, or Hollywood Hills I should say, sounds like DCA. Instead of having the Red Car Trolley, BVS and the statue, how about something different? The places on BVS are based on Los Angeles, not Hollywood. I'm not too fond of the name. A land called "Hollywood" in a park named "Hollywood".

Oh gosh, there is? That's completely redundant. Why name a land basically the same name as the park?
well to be fair, The park wa originally named MGM studios so....It was redundant back then. and Why can't you have a section in your park with Hollywood in the Title in a hollywood based park? I think its fine! I actually likethe idea. Its just as redundant as naming soarin over california in california adventure....in the state of california. It could just be called soarin like at wdw. Actually it would make more sense to have WDW's version named soarin over california due to the fact some people dont even know where we are in the ride. Just my two cents
