Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It! Street Party preview performance photos and video

Floats are not very flattering (UGH on the party hats), but the character interaction is sorely needed. And it's perfect compensation for lack of characters in CADCT.

Jeez, I don't know how Disney could possibly please some of the people on this board. The show has only had one preview, we have only seen a few still photos on the web, and the first few comments are already dissing the show.

From what we know and have seen so far, I think it looks like lots of fun, and I'm sorry it wasn't open when I visited just a few weeks ago. I'm thrilled that Disney is debuting a new entertainment option at a time when others have been cut.

This show and the rumored Stitch show in Tomorrowland will bring new life to the Magic Kingdom, a park which hasn't seen as much growth lately (and which has lost several attractions over the past many years).

This looks a lot BETTER than I was expecting... you have to consider what this replaced (the family fun day parade) and I think this looks MUCH better than that... it has actual floats... it has a lot of unusual characters along with the normal favorites and a lot of them have cute new costumes that are unique to this... I never made a point of seeing the family fun day parade... I "accidentally" watched it once... I happened to be at the end of main street when it went by and after that if I was nearby I would go and watch and take pictures but it never entered my schedule as something to make an effort to see... this I will actually make an effort to see at least a few times.

So while I am completely underwhelmed by SADCT Part III and hope it quickly gets replaced... I will give them credit here :)

I am very happy to have even more entertainment options, we have not seen this much entertainment in years. Which is kinda funny since we are in a recession.

Wow! It looks like fun. :D

For some reason, I hadn't pictured it in my mind as big a production as it appears to be.

I watched it twice today and was shocked at how well done it was. Yes, it was cheesy. Yes, it was hokey. And Yes, they mentioned the word "Celebrate" half a cazillion times. It definetly brings a much needed energy to MK ala Block Party Bash. Oh and when you think of what it replaced (Family Fun Day Parade), is it really all that bad? The floats were pretty plain, but they work.

The one bad thing I noticed was how crowded the hub got during MiSiCi. It wasn't incredibly busy today, but I don't want to think of what it's gonna be like during spring break season.

Someone went through the Imagineers' files from the early 90's. Baloo with a Hawaiian shirt a la Tail Spin, Sebastian, Lumiere, and Genie. Much better than expected but it's a total time warp.

I love how 3 of the "top" characters are from the 3 Howard Ashman/Alan Menken movies! I haven't seen the Sebastian Character (outside of Voyage of the Little Mermaid) since the early early 90s! They even made new versions of Lumiere and Sebastian (Lumiere looks a little off though..). I love this so far because its finally giving the Disney Renassaince some credit. I mean Disneyland Resort basically almost shuns a majority of the Disney films of the 90s...
I love it! :sohappy:

it actually looks fun. For a minor offering (e.g. something they will not really market to get new guests to come to WDW), they seem to have invested a good amount of time and effort. Sure, it's hokey, but no one was expecting Tapestry of Nations. At least it doesn't look (IMO) cheap.

I'm glad Lumiere, Sebastian and The Genie are in this. It's nice to see some different characters featured for a change.
