Most Relaxing Place at WDW

There is an observation spot at the Animal Kingdom Lodge where you can look at the animals roaming around the area. It's been empty every time I've gone (during the day)

This last trip, my "happy place" was sitting on my balcony at the Contemporary, with a pina colada watching Wishes.

Most relaxing place? The plane ride home - haha!

No, but seriously, there's a secluded place in Fort Wilderness that I am NOT going to tell you about. Anywho, it's awesome. I became a man there, if you know what I mean.:slurp::D Ah, magical memories.

This is a really good question!
The TTA is a good one, but I think my all time favorite is sitting in the rocking chairs (when they have them out) on the porch that is tucked behind the American themed gift shop by The Hall of Presidents. It is so obscure that hardly anyone is ever back there.

I love the hammocks on the Poly beach. I could lay there for hours listening to the water, watching the ferries, hearing the sounds from Magic Kingdom, etc. It's my happy place. :lookaroun

Downtown Disney - This has to be my favorite one. Between Wolfgang Pucks & Bongo's There's a bunch of benches facing the lagoon. I go get a Wetzel Pretzle Dog and just let the warm Florida air relax me...*sigh* Oh Man I can't wait to go back...
The whole area back there is awesome...Not many people and it is so pretty!

The Hotel Room:ROFLOL:

That's close to what I was thinking. I was thinking of the toilet stall in any one of the men's rooms...although depending on what you ate, it might not be so relaxing after all...

Okay, now for a serious reply. LOL

I must be honest, in past trips to WDW, I have been too much in commando mode to really stop and do too much relaxing. Hopefully, I'll do better on this next trip.

But I enjoyed sitting in the gazeebo with my wife at POR. And, in the morning while she was still getting ready, it was nice just hanging around the lobby building, where the big water wheel is, and enjoying the quiet morning and looking at the water.

On Tom Sawyer Island, sitting and looking back at all the people on the other side. Either at Aunt Polly's, or back where the rafts load and unload. Ridding the TTA, I like it so much we usually stay and ride a second loop.

In your opinion, what is the most relaxing place that you have visited at WDW?

I like the wishing well outside of the castle at the MK.
I also like the porch outside of Cape May Cafe at the BC Resort. There are huge rocking chairs that you can sit in.

Anyone else have a special relaxing spot?

Strange but true....my husband LOVES the rocking chairs on the porch of a building over by Hall Of Presidents. Says he could just sit and rock there for hours...........

My wife and I love the peaceful walkway that goes from Hollywood studios all the way to EPCOT. It's so quiet and you walk right by some gorgeous resorts. We also like the rocking chairs at Tom Sawyer Island. We sit and play checkers (she always kicks my butt) and watch the people across the river.

I also love the TTA. Classic.

Also, the Polynesian beach is relaxing when you sit on a hammock or just the beach. Same with just taking a walk around the All Stars at night.

This is a great topic. If I can think of more I'll post them immediately.

Sitting on the balcony @ AKL watching the animals grazing and playing while eating room service (usually bananna stuffed french toast). Pure bliss.

The veranda off the main building at the Coronado Springs, overlooking the lake, just as the sun sets. The scene, the sounds of the distant Spanish guitars, and the smells of the nearby Pepper Market, are an intoxicating combination. :dazzle:
