I find that hard to believe.

Nah, my brother is great, but he loves to tease me because he knows I hate anything having to do with spoilers. I'm an easy target for him.

Vince takes pleasure in spoiling the movie for me. :fork:

See what he says next time you meet. Some blokes just are not good expressing their emotions, but if he's not interested in taking things further it's better you find out sooner than later.

You know where I am if you want to talk outside the thread

That being said, I have also approached the age that I really would be cautious about any relationship, especially if I was not convinced that they could be "the one". I have other reasons to that I would not get into a relationship without a previous high level of trust in someone, but that is neither here nor there.
I think the older we get and the longer we stay single the more fussy we get about a potential partner (not true for all, some come under "desperate" and would nail anything with a pulse). Plus the walls we build around past pains don't help establishing a new relationship.

Aww that's really sad... maybe you did something for her to fall out of love with you... or maybe she just simply fell out of love.. too bad though!
Sad to say, in my experience is that there is always a bloke with a bigger house, flasher car and better paying job.

Interviewing many potential employees, I agree. But it does make it easier for me to prepare to be interviewed.

Inside information.

you are so right.....after interviewing hundreds of people, and listening to some good and MANY BAD responses, it has made me feel a lot better about my abilities.

Being interviewed is a lost art....so many people are so clueless.

I used to ask the question "Tell me about yourself"....I stopped, as probably 99% of the respondents would say something like "Well, I was born in XX, I moved here XX, I like XX and XX, I have XX kids...." meanwhile, they ALREADY did not get the job

I recommend any or one of several books by Martin Yate. He tells you how to answer tough interview questions. He also shows you how to set up your resume, cover letters, what to wear for an interview, prep for an interview. Great book! I had my wife read the interview question part before her last interview and she nailed the job.

He also has a "managerial" (sp?) section to help managers select the right interview questions.

BTW, Speck, if you were to ask "Tell me about yourself." My reply would initially be, "What specific area would you like me to talk about?" :lookaroun
