I just got some bad news, and I need big huggles. I just found out that one of our killer whales (Splash) died about noon today. The media hasn't picked up the story yet, but I heard this from a friend who works at Shamu Stadium. Apparently he's had a tooth infection for the last week, but they won't know just yet if it was a case where it spread and killed him. I mean, he's never been the perfect picture of health (he was epileptic, among other things) but his death is still a bit of a shocker.
