Trip Report More Fun than I ever Imagined on the Re-Imagined Magic!

It’s time for a trip report on the brand new Disney Magic!! Okay not-quite-as-new-as-if-I’d-written-this-report-in-October Disney Magic!


Sorry. I’m only a couple of trips behind now at least! :D


Who: Myself, Heather and Missy! Here’s our (bad) phone selfie!





What: The inaugural sailing of the reimagined Disney Magic. It actually wasn’t supposed to be the inaugural sailing but the inaugural sailing was cancelled due to damage the ship sustained when crossing the ocean. I hated that for those booked, but I was not sad to be the first ones onboard! :oops:


Where: A two night cruise to nowhere out of Miami! Short and sweet. Our motto was no time for sleep! We could sleep when we got home.

I’m back! I had to take an editing break to edit prom pictures! :)


We finally made it to dinner! I felt so bad. I am not a late person and especially when others were waiting for us!


We apologized to our table mates - Disney Joe and family and a lovely couple named Denise and -Denise’s husband. So sorry, Denise's husband, I did not take good notes!

Joe’s son showed us his kid’s club band which was more like a Magic band and 100 times better than the old kid’s club bands!

Not crazy about these:






After our shopping adventures we decided it was time for a ride on the AquaDunk!

We put on our swimsuits and went upstairs. It was a little chilly in the wind, but there was no wait. I gotta tell you, when I stepped into that tube and waited for the floor to drop? I was freaking out! It’s quite the adventure!

It was great, but seriously scary!! The ride is all of 7 seconds long (or something like that) but it felt like I dropped for at least 30!

Yes, I know that’s not really possible…

We went to warm up in the hot tub and then we went and changed for the pirate buffet! Notice I did not say pirate show, the buffet was our only real goal.

Yes, we just had dinner! Back off!

The Pirate Buffet – It’s a big ole buffet and somehow I only got a picture of the potato bar? I guess I had potatoes!



And a taco and some chili and rice that I picked the beans out of:



Missy really really loved her turkey leg.



Like really.

That baked potato and cheddar cheese soup from Animators is SO GOOD! I would have it every night as my soup choice if I could! YUM!

What's the cheese like inside the pasta appetizer? The reason I ask is I'm very picky with my cheeses. I like cheese when it's in it's normal, hard form. the second you turn that same cheese to liquid, I won't eat it. Like cheddar cheese. LOVE cheddar cheese! Hand me some macaroni and cheese with cheddar cheese and I won't touch it. It's a texture thing I think! (Which is weird cause I do like that soup they have there... lol) So is the cheese inside the pasta a liquidy form? I know it's a strange question but I want to try it but I'm scared to! hahaha

That was a great description of dinner and a show and then a buffet. I think I gained a few pounds from that but that's what happens on a cruise right :) ? Everything about that evening seemed lovely and fun and I get to live it through your detailed report, so I just want to say thanks.:joyfull:

The re-imagined Magic looks gorgeous! Although those shots you just posted of the atrium show off just how un-awesome that new chandelier is.

Please tell me they still have Diet Coke?! I don't care for Coke Zero because I'm one of those weirdos who actually started drinking Diet Coke for the taste, not the calories!!

It was yummy! I agree!

Hmm. I can not remember! I know I liked it. I want to say there were truffles inside? I am so bad at remembering food!

It is gorgeous! And the chandelier is pretty, it's just not spectacular like it should be! :)

Well that's just crazy! Lol. Yes! I'm pretty sure they still had diet. It was a coke fest!
