More detailed blueprints

Based on the blueprints enfilm graciously provided, I assume that the Barnstormer is getting re-themed for Pixie Hollow. Pixie Hollow now seems to be straddled between the Dumbo spinners and the Barnstormer, leading me to suspect the blueprints that first got leaked are the most accurate things we got right now.

Personally, I'm having a difficult time imagining Pixie Hollow. I don't know how they'll fit it into that area with TLM, the Dumbo Spinners, Barnstormer, and the Indy Racetrack. Any insight?

PH exists in DL. Although, it's probably a lot smaller there than what we're getting. It looks quite nice, peaceful, and lively.

Since when does MK not compare to DL? DL may be better to many, but MK is not that far from DL.

You should probably count and compare the list of attractions at Disneyland vs. Magic Kingdom before you ask that again. :animwink:

Disneyland has more rides/attractions than Magic Kingdom and DHS combined.

According to the most recent artists renderings of the area, PH and Dumbo areas will be reversed. Actually giving PH more room and allowing later construction and opening date without impeding traffic flow.

The most recent blueprints were signed off in late November show the Dumbo Spinners immediately to the right of TLM with what appears to be Pixie Hollow immediately south of the spinners, making Pixie Hollow in the middle. The latest released concept art (that I know of) was released at least two weeks before the blueprints are dated.

I stand corrected then. Until construction actually begins, everything is still speculation based upon known variables (which are known to change from day to day.)

Random but interesting. It's from a news channel in Central Florida called CFNews13. It has a brief interview from Jack Blitch, Vice President of WDI which we were talking about when they released a permit that he signed which is speculated to be about the FYL expansion. He mentions the villains being incorporated into this.

YES!:sohappy: Finally, I'll be able to meet Maleficent!

My assumption, based on the fact that the blueprints indicate the infrastructure for the Barnstormer will remain, is that the rollercoaster will be Pixie themed, but that's just my guess.

In my opinion it's a bit too distant from the Mad Tea Party to be Alice themed, and too segregated by Pixie Hollow to be the Clown Alley/Dumbo area, but you never know. :)

Check out the blueprints enfilm posted on the first page. Dumbo is northwest of Pixie Hollow and next to TLM. PH is near the Speedway now.

I still think the artwork presented at D23 is the final decision. PH would be a traffic nightmare if it were phase 2 and in the way of Dumbo.

If the overview artwork was designed as the same time as the PH artwork, that means it was made in 2008. The blue prints were filed this fall. I'd go by the blue prints for now.

Like Lee said earlier, go with the blueprints. They've already changed the artwork (probably more than once) but the blueprints which are already filed most likely have the more up-to-date, less-likely-to-change information.

Exactly, if the artwork was made at the same time as Pixie Hollow, that would mean they were made in 2008.

I too think we should believe Lee as he is a credible source no?

If you take the artwork and try and lay it out on a map, it just doesn't fit. There isn't enough room in the speedway area for a double-dumbo, certainly not without completely moving and repositioning the barnstormer. However the solution posed in the blueprints is much more feasible. I would put my money on the blueprints.
