Monsters, Inc. Hollywood Studios rumor

When last I heard, it was dead.

I think the rumor-mill has picked up because of Monsters2 becoming a reality, which Jim 'White Mountains' Hill has picked up and run with.

But this was a project that was a definite go before the meltdown and after (well, not after as our economy is still a disaster) so ... let's say since things hit rock bottom and have improved somewhat TDO stated it sees no need to increase park capacity at said park.

So ... I wouldn't count on it.
You make me sad :(

Yes, PLEASE. So much wasted space. And it's ugly. And smelly.

If they gave the cars electric motors and put up some more topiarys or something to liven up the track I bet it'd look really nice and not smelly

I'd think this would be more likely rather than demo'ing it.

Will TDO ever refurb this "classic" opening day attraction like HM/HoP?

If this does end up happening at DHS, it would probably be after the Mermaid ride and phase 1 of fantasyland is complete? Or not necessarily?

I would be happy with either Hide & Go Seek or a new coaster, but I prefer the former because I will gladly settle for a top-notch dark ride over a short coaster.

Attendance is up means new attractions are green lit?

I thought it'd be just the opposite...

I wouldnt expect anything to be green-lit at the earliest until after Q1 or Q2 financials are released.

I really would like to see this long rumored (at least 4 years in the rumoring) coaster come to life. DHS needs the help.

I agree. Does DHS really need any more thrill rides?

I feel like it's family friendly dark rides (without height requirements or that red triangle warning) that the park needs more than anything else...

No! I reeaaallly want any MI attraction to go in Pixar Place. Every future ride/attraction based on anything Pixar should go there and not anywhere else. Monsters, Inc. doesn't really fit into Tomorrowland, IMO.

MILF fits in TL loosely because you are traveling to a different dimension. I agree with you it is a major strech. But Pixar should beable to go in other parks as long as it fits well.

An UP attraction in Adventureland would work great.
Wall-e in TL would be ok.

The thing is the "Interplanetary Convention Center" is no longer part of Tomorrowland's storyline - that was taken out of the TTA.

HUGE stretch. Doesn't fit TL at all, IMHO.

Up in AdvL would have to be done VERY carefully...South Seas to South America is odd.

WALL-E would be perfect for TL, though. He was made for it, almost. And BnL was almost the whole look for TL. ;)
