Have you watched the BBC Merlin series? Every time I see that actor I picture him as the young version of Disney's Merlin...

No, but the show has been recommended to me multiple times. I just may pick it up. I've got a list of shows I'm planning to watch, including Dexter, Sons of Anarchy, The Following, etc. Too many to list them all.

Dexter for the first 3 seasons is worth it. That whole list is actually pretty good.

When you are done, there are better things than Merlin to see, but I'm running out of shows on Netflix...

If you do pick it up, give it a few episodes...it gets a lot less campy and far more interesting...and the second and third season are great!

Sounds good. I've learned to give shows chances when they start slow. I almost quit Breaking Bad, but I kept watching and it got better. Most shows are like that.

I also want to watch Game of Thrones.

Oh yes, I can wholly recommend GoT!

Can't wait for the new season to start!

Another one, if you haven't been following it, are the Once Upon A Time series...extremely good (especially for a Disney fan)...the original is still the best, though the Wonderland one has legs to stand on (after a very, very slow start)...

I wish the show was on Netflix! It would have made it easier for me to catch up. Oh well.

I've seen a few episodes of Once Upon a Time, I plan on picking that up. Scandal, too. I need to get started on these shows lol.

I actually met the writers of Once Upon a Time back in 2010. They told me they were working on a fairy tale type show for ABC... Really cool to see the show come to be and being so successful.

To be completely fair, Disney reps on the phone were universally knowledgable (some slightly more than others) and extremely polite and well spoken.

I ENJOYED the conversations...I just don't think I should have had to make them.

Also, (and there is already a thread about this)...they really need to get all of their teams on board as to how one should use the system. I followed the instructions Disney Travel gave me, but according to the Tech Support it would have been easier / faster to accomplish what I really wanted (control of everything from my account) without using the Family and Friends feature.

In the end...it all worked out...but not through the site. I had to call.

Oh, and my ADRs that I made yesterday still haven't "automatically" shown up...I'm about to start linking them...

If I wasn't familiar with the system and the importance it would play with my trip (having everything linked properly), and merely glanced at MDE (like I imagine a LOT of people will, rather than spend hours and hours poking away at it), I would have been in for a rude shock when we arrived...

Biggest problem with NGE is THIS, The need to call for for assistance should be an outlier not a routine requirement speaks to inadequate design rigor.

In SW engineering one tool is called a state transition diagram, the canonical example is a washing machine but it lays out all the states the application can be in at at any point in time and their conditions for entry/exit/error

Well, if you run into them again, let them know I'm ED (and loved) the mid season finale! <grin>

If you do some creative searching, you can find GoT, but it's worth buying on DVD or BluRay, no doubt!

Will do haha!

Unfortunately, I have college tuition to pay for and I already have a shopping problem. About three days ago, my mom told me I don't spend my money wisely and I don't know how to save... May have to hold off on buying the seasons lol.

I must beg to differ. WDW IS about more than rides, is about more than flashy rides and the latest IP's.

The whole of WDW was built with 'the Spirit of EPCOT'. Everything must be novel, innovative, different entertaining. At Disney, you travel from A to B by monorail. Trash is collected underground. And at EPCOT you made advanced dinner reservations, over an automated system, that connected computers in an inter-network. With a touchscreen to boot. In 1982! This, and not flashy rides or IP's was the Disney difference. This was the reason one visited WDW and not Circus World or Cypress Gardens. MM+ is the spiritual descendent of EPCOT Center. MM+ and EPCOT even share the criticism of 'horribly over budget, instantly outdated, and misallocated funds'.

Jimmy Thick - EPCOT is still here. They're all gone, Circus World, Cypress Gardens, Mystery Fun House, Boardwalk and Baseball, IoA 1.0.

6 out of 10.

Not enough Universal mentioned.

Jimmy Thick- Close.

Yep, and her post made me want to watch it again! Guess what's in my movie queue!
Walt says: watch SitS at Christmas. I think Christmas holidays / New Year is close enough!

I wouldn't miss Jimmy's posts for the world. He is the best thing about this forum. I can read mob mentality and insults everywhere else on the internet. That is not why I'm here. In fact, it is why I would leave. I am here for people such as @WDWDad13 and @Jimmy Thick , who dare go against the tide and think for themselves. My kind of people. I usually disagree with everything they say, but they are my people.

The mob mentality and insults. Back in the day, those were my forums of choice, especially the insult ones. Man, the laughs I had, some of the things I posted. I was good, undefeated, without equal. So good in fact, the people I used to insult would get so livid, some even got all my personal information and called me at my house. But some of these people insulting me, oh boy they were good. Some were an absolute joy to read. It makes me sad when people attempt to insult people on this forum to people just speaking their mind and being honest, but more importantly, the insults posted here are just not really worthy of a reply. Personally, I have seen and written better and most of the stuff posted that is supposed to be new and clever has been posted before, years and years ago.

So when I see the dreaded insult, then only thing I can do is best displayed in this picture:

And promptly scroll on down.

Jimmy Thick- A picture is worth a thousand words they say.
