MM+ Why we can't have nice things.

I ask because if someone takes the time to break things down to statistical levels, please take the time to gain an understanding of statistics. Please don't fall back on the mantra of lies, damn lies, and statistics.

In my line of work, I only report statistics on the most basic level because my audience does not understand anything beyond mean and standard deviation. To go any deeper would muddle the message.

The MM+ effect will be a multivariate relationship with crowd level having a degree of influence. The question is to what degree. Will crowd level be the primary affect, secondary, tertiary, 10th degree? Who knows, but the data will tell.

No doubt the data will tell. The question is who has the correct data to begin with? Obviously we can't go off of casual observation or feelings about crowd levels or line waits. Only Disney knows for sure, I know I am not privy to that info, is anybody on this board?

Scenario 2 can make the person with knowledge criminally negligent if something happens.
That is true. However since the US has toothless whistleblower laws. Scenario 2 is the only workable one

Snowden is probably best known example these days.

For scenario 1 there was the female united cargo supervisor who did 1 and her body was found in trunk of her car

It it's truly unfortunate that doing the right thing frequently these days has harsher consequences for the whistleblower than the wrongdoer

You have it all wrong. You aren't at the wh*** level yet. You need your own podcast or at least a website to reach that status. At best right now you are a Disney plant;):);)

Well contrary to popular belief I'm not and I'm not even smoking a plant. There were and are many things I see and have seen that Disney needs to do and/or improve upon so it's not all magical for me ....I call it as I see it but I'm also a realist and give things a chance before I pass mass judgement too

You also need to get invited to the lifestyler events and pimp them on your blog and website. At best you are a Disney deep-cover mole :-)

Outside of Disney itself @lentesta probably has the best and most comprehensive data sets and I'm looking forward to the comparatative analysis of waits pre/post NGE

Have you ever heard of touringplans.com or The unofficial guide to Walt Disney World Series of books? If not check them out. They do a ton of research and keep a ton of statistics related to WDW attendance and line ride wait time to develop their touring plans and guide books. The best in the business IMHO. @lentesta runs touringplans.com and is co-author of the books and also a poster on these boards. Outside of Disney themselves these guys probably have the most statistical data available so if he has stats on this stuff that he is willing to share with us they are worth a lot more than casual observations.

I am familiar with the site and the stats kept by them. And outside of Disney they do indeed have the best info regarding lines and crowds. But I would offer that the granularity Nubs describes cannot be found outside of Disney.

I was just being sarcastic. It kinda bothers me when people refer to anyone (especially people they hardly even know) as a . It just rubs me the wrong way. If you don't agree with people it's fine to call them out, but a lot of the so called "life stylers" are just fans like the rest of us.

If you were a plant they probably would have fired you a while back. A good Disney plant would work their way into the good graces of the core group of negative posters and then effect change from the inside as an ally, not an adversary. A cop doesn't go undercover as a drug dealer and then lecture the drug dealers about drugs being bad.:)

As a fellow 'plant' of WDW Dad, the accusation of being a plant is simply an attempt to silence a person. After all a 'plants' motivations are not as pure as those of the accuser.

I really like the "you just joined the board, so you really can't comment" argument. Is there a magic number of comments that I need to reach before I can comment? And how can I reach that number if I can't comment?

I am glad to see WDW Dad has continued to post just as I have. After all the money to do so is so good.;)
