Certain members of this site can't always say everything due to their jobs hence the word play by Yoyo.Do not jump to be so harsh....as you always seem to do....if you do not know the whole story. We have a few members who work with Disney closely and are reliable sources for news but at times they have to watch what they say or give out so as to not get in trouble.

BTW this isn't the 6th grade but sometimes your attacks on people seem to show that you are thinking down to that level.
Cant say anything? B.S.!
No one needs to know who anyone is. Thats a silly excuse.

I'm not sure how long you've been coming to these boards, but if you had been here for any length of time and had paid attention in the past you would know this is true.

I may not post much, but I've been on these boards since 2002. I stop in almost every day. Many of the sources on here are so removed, or in a secure position enough to say things straight. Many either work with or have friends/family who work directly with Disney, who have signed NDA's or who, by virtue of their information, would be easily tracked down if they were saying exactly what they know and how they know it. These people would prefer to put theirs and their family/friends jobs at risk.

Not only is this their right, but it is admirable, and we should be grateful that they make the effort to tell us what they can. If they didn't this entire board would be polls about your favorite rides, and debates about why the Dole Whip is as good as it is. (admirable topics, but it would get redundant after a while)

Thats what i was thinking.
This isnt the 6th grade.
If one knows something...Just tell it like it is.

Its not like he wrote the post in hieroglyphics....it was pretty straight forward what he was talking about. Not to mention it took someone all of one post to name the attractions.

Anyways, thanks for the update!

I read the first line of the OP wrong and thought it was "No Lunches". I was wrapping my brain trying to decide which restaurant was closing it's doors :ROFLOL:

I'm a little supprised about the short timeline of Space Mountain. Is there any change it's April 09 - November 10 which would fit in with our original estimates.

No supprise about Splash Mountain - I thought that was always down in Jan / Feb for refurb.

A little supprised by HM but not complaining - id rather see regular maintence over running it into the ground

For the record, whilst it wasn't said in plain english, it wasn't exactly difficult to decypher (once you've learned how to read properly that is!) and it's a little different to the normal posts we get.

Yoyo,
Thanks for the info. And, BTW, I loved the way you delivered it!

Can anyone PM me about the TTA refurb? I didn't realize it was going to be down and, believe it or not, my family LOVES that ride. We get on it and usually go around two or three times (the CMs are great!). And now I'll have to look at my vaca plans anyway - my son got addicted to SM last year and he'll be disappointed if he can't ride it.

Thanks again!

Of course it could be Apr. '09 - Nov. '10.

But thanks. :)

Are you speculating or hinting at something? :lookaroun;)

Thanks for the info, Yoyo. A shift in the space timetabe doesn't make sense. The new Apr09-Nov10 plan puts it down for TWO summers and the 09 holidays. Odd that they would shift that willingly. Is it possible for them to take the refurb in two chunks by doing the queue/loading area and postshow in 2009 and then replacing the track in 2010 (or track then queue/load)? They probably don't like the idea of keeping it down for the holidays. (Evidence: Rushing Spaceship Earth to "completion" last year.)

I don't think YoYo in any way hinted at Apr09-Nov10, given his comment concerning the short timetable immediately proceeding.

I wish space would be down for longer.:(

And on the Haunted Mansion, they recently just added another new picture to the corrodor of doors.
I could easily see them plussing the attraction even more during this downtime. Can't wait to see the results!:sohappy:

Well if Splash and Haunted Mansion will both be down in January February, it would make sense to delay the Space Mountain refurbishment a bit. However if the April-November time frame is true, it does cause some concern that the refurbishment has been scaled back.

Spirit at LP dropped a couple hints (before going on his current hiatus) that he heard of the SM budget being slashed, although he said it was not confirmed.

What is up with this company and slashing budgets? Beastly Kingdom, Journey Into Imagination, now Space Mountain, and countless other projects. Disney really needs to get its financial plans straight, and then, just maybe they could build some of the great attractions Imagineering has sitting on its shelves.
