Hi Jenny - Sounds like we've all been in that same boat! :(

Sure have.
Friends - the greatest things ever till they turn wicked.
Not that I even have that many friends.
Never have.
Always kinda been a shy, reserved one.

My DH is my best friend, but I have a couple of friends from college that I have stayed in touch with. I'm just more selective, I guess.

BTW, my kids are driving me nuts, and DH is at work....sigh...I need a Disney fix!

Welcome to my world Freddy - still job-hunting, sort of....
I need to find something where I can still talk to you guys too! :D
Hey Betty,
Do they do stuff like ---- ahhhh, senior moment, can't think of the word!!! ---- they send people from the State to go and analyze crummier districts by you? Maybe you could use your expierence, and apply to the State and work for them. :veryconfu

This job probably (for me) wouldn't start till school got out, or maybe some weekends before I get out.
Hopefully I'll do either retail or concessions (ice cream, etc.)

State jobs here are very political, and frankly, I don't care to be associated with the dirty politics in this state.

Same here.:(
Hi Joanna!
I read your post last night and it broke my heart. I know how much you miss WDW, but as an I-Mom, I have to agree with your dad. Finish your education - you've come this far, it would be such a waste to quit now. I know your heart isn't in it, but you'll always regret it if you don't. Frankly, I've always found that junior year of college is probably the most stressful, and you can't quite see that light at the end of the tunnel yet. But it's there, and it holds a degree that you'll always have, no matter what the future brings. Hang in there kiddo - we're all here for you!

Does this help?
Everybody's got a laughing place
A laughing place to go -o-o
Take a frown, turn it upside down
And you'll find yours we know -o-o!

So this is fun... (sorry... complaint rant coming up)

So me and five of my friends leave for daytona beach tomorrow for spring break and our flight is at 6 a.m. Allie lives 10 minutes from the airport so I'm staying with her with one of my friends who is the lightest sleeper alive.... and well obviously being a friday night there's parties going on... well the room either above us or below us has the loudest music i've ever head in my entire life on... I mean its unbareable... if I was playing music to the point that it was too loud for me within my own room it wouldn't even be this loud... I mean its obnoxious... so Allie can't sleep and she's driving us so right now as I'm typing I'm trying to calm her down but she can't sleep and is mad. My buddy is in one of Allie's roommates' room (she went home for the night) and I'm sure he's still up and furious... the other 4 kids stayed in a less convenient part of boston, but its definitely quieter than this... and me... I'm WIDE awake...

The alarm is set for 4 a.m. right now... and its 12:30... i know myself and my body, i won't be asleep before 1:30, and with this going on... I think i'm staying up all night..

I hope everyone has a good week though, I'll let ya know how the trip goes...

goodnight (hopefully)

Hi Joe, hugs, hope last nihgt got better.

She heard you again! Knock it off! This is spooky...

He's eerie that way.....

BTW- Don't forget time change is tonight.

Yikes!

Good morning everyone....

This topic resonated with me. I have known three other people in my life who have turned into people I didn't really know - where I thought they were friends, but couldn't wait to stab you in the back the minute you turned around. I really don't know how to handle people like this, except go in the other direction. But their influence in my life has been profound - I am no longer as quickly trusting and eager for close friendships. I approach people with more caution than I used to, which probably comes across as really reserved. I've never been really good at social relationships, which means I can understand Joel's struggles to a point. It's been easy to shut the world out at times.
I'm not saying to follow in my footsteps here, I'm just saying I understand the frustration, Jess. I'll be thinking about you. ((HUGS))

I'm just the opposite, no matter how many times I get burned, I never learn not to stick my heart out there...:(

Yikes! 3 am?

No, thank God.
On weekends I have to be in at 7:00.
At 5:00 I got a frantic call from the night manager (whom I adore) asking me to please come in as soon as I can. So I got there at 5:30. I worked till 11:00 then went grocery shopping.
I think my name is Dot. . .beyond that I'm not sure of anything right now. . .
Do I know you? :lookaroun
