wow. don't those get big?

Um...:o . Yes. Huge. This was not my call...I agreed to a dog, but I was thinking a mutt from the pound. DH had other ideas. Let me put it this way...we have one scrawny 11 pound cat (Lily) and one robust 16 pound cat (Stewart). DH, after researching and purchasing baby Glory assured me that upon arrival she would be about the size of Lily and would get no bigger than a yellow Lab.

Well...she already outweighs Stewart and the vet assured us that by next month's appointment she will have doubled her weight. You should see the paws on this kid. We're talking St. Bernard size dog here...yellow lab my behind. She's in the "extra large" or "giant" class of breeds. Not her fault though...she's a sweet heart and such a doll. An excellent puppy, and I adore her but I truly wasn't expecting such a big beastie. My fault! Should have kept a closer eye on the proceedings.

So this is fun... (sorry... complaint rant coming up)

So me and five of my friends leave for daytona beach tomorrow for spring break and our flight is at 6 a.m. Allie lives 10 minutes from the airport so I'm staying with her with one of my friends who is the lightest sleeper alive.... and well obviously being a friday night there's parties going on... well the room either above us or below us has the loudest music i've ever head in my entire life on... I mean its unbareable... if I was playing music to the point that it was too loud for me within my own room it wouldn't even be this loud... I mean its obnoxious... so Allie can't sleep and she's driving us so right now as I'm typing I'm trying to calm her down but she can't sleep and is mad. My buddy is in one of Allie's roommates' room (she went home for the night) and I'm sure he's still up and furious... the other 4 kids stayed in a less convenient part of boston, but its definitely quieter than this... and me... I'm WIDE awake...

The alarm is set for 4 a.m. right now... and its 12:30... i know myself and my body, i won't be asleep before 1:30, and with this going on... I think i'm staying up all night..

I hope everyone has a good week though, I'll let ya know how the trip goes...

goodnight (hopefully)

OT: Have you ever had someone you thought was a good friend be so entirely rude to you that you started wishing you never had to talk to them again? I have someone in my life like that right now. And it's seriously driving me crazy. *sigh* :(

I think this happens to everyone once in a while. You kind of have the weigh the situation -
How much do you truly value the friendship?
Would your life be more or less stressful without this person in it?
What effect would this have on your circle of friends and your relationship with them? Do they see the issues that you see?

That being said, I'm all for honestly confronting them and tell them how uncomfortable they make you feel. You're working so hard now at rebuilding your marraige, and being Lizzie's mom, that you don't need those kinds of stresses. If she truly cares about your friendship, she'll listen to you. If she doesn't, she wasn't really a friend anyway and you don't need that.

Just my 2 cents Jess.... ;)

Good morning everyone....

This topic resonated with me. I have known three other people in my life who have turned into people I didn't really know - where I thought they were friends, but couldn't wait to stab you in the back the minute you turned around. I really don't know how to handle people like this, except go in the other direction. But their influence in my life has been profound - I am no longer as quickly trusting and eager for close friendships. I approach people with more caution than I used to, which probably comes across as really reserved. I've never been really good at social relationships, which means I can understand Joel's struggles to a point. It's been easy to shut the world out at times.
I'm not saying to follow in my footsteps here, I'm just saying I understand the frustration, Jess. I'll be thinking about you. ((HUGS))

Good Morning sunshines.

Working on my essay about France.
Fun.

Have to go out and get a poster to do the visual for the oral presentation.

Probably going to a job fair at the Boardwalk tomorrow.
I want moolaa. :lookaroun
I haven't worked since last June.
Babysitting.
Didn't get much for it, but it was something.
