I've been kind of in and out all day, but I really have to go now. Jess had a name for the new thread back at post#4443 or so, so if you need it tonight, that's where you'll find it.
Have a great day all, and I'll probably talk to you all tomorrow!
It was a day after the fact, too...Subtle. . .:lookaroun

I don't know.
Get back to work, Pablo.
That's what you think, El Doto!I am off duty, Senor. :lookaroun
I think this happens to everyone once in a while. You kind of have the weigh the situation -
How much do you truly value the friendship?
Would your life be more or less stressful without this person in it?
What effect would this have on your circle of friends and your relationship with them? Do they see the issues that you see?
That being said, I'm all for honestly confronting them and tell them how uncomfortable they make you feel. You're working so hard now at rebuilding your marraige, and being Lizzie's mom, that you don't need those kinds of stresses. If she truly cares about your friendship, she'll listen to you. If she doesn't, she wasn't really a friend anyway and you don't need that.
Just my 2 cents Jess....![]()
Good morning everyone....
This topic resonated with me. I have known three other people in my life who have turned into people I didn't really know - where I thought they were friends, but couldn't wait to stab you in the back the minute you turned around. I really don't know how to handle people like this, except go in the other direction. But their influence in my life has been profound - I am no longer as quickly trusting and eager for close friendships. I approach people with more caution than I used to, which probably comes across as really reserved. I've never been really good at social relationships, which means I can understand Joel's struggles to a point. It's been easy to shut the world out at times.
I'm not saying to follow in my footsteps here, I'm just saying I understand the frustration, Jess. I'll be thinking about you. ((HUGS))
Hi Joanna!
I read your post last night and it broke my heart. I know how much you miss WDW, but as an I-Mom, I have to agree with your dad. Finish your education - you've come this far, it would be such a waste to quit now. I know your heart isn't in it, but you'll always regret it if you don't. Frankly, I've always found that junior year of college is probably the most stressful, and you can't quite see that light at the end of the tunnel yet. But it's there, and it holds a degree that you'll always have, no matter what the future brings. Hang in there kiddo - we're all here for you!
((HUGS)) to Jess. . .
I know exactly what you mean.
Fishy, the birthday evening sounds like fun!
Have some for me, would you?
I've been lacking in fun lately.
