MJ's Lucky Charms

My parents (especially my dad) are all "finish school. It's good for you blah, blah, blah". But I don't care for school. It's not me.

Just wanted to say...I had a dear friend, very smart who three times tried to do the school thing because it was expected and because, let's face it, it is the "traditional" path to success. But it wasn't until he realized that it really wasn't for him that he really became happy and did his own thing. He's doing quite well now, finally found his place in the world. Not to ever discount what your parents say (school is good for you, certainly).

Well, I won't be using my degree for anything. I am majoring in commercial recreation and tourism, and I want to stay in entertainment (either as an attendant, or become a character).

He is right honey, I know you hate that, but it's true. Having your BA will make it easier for you to move up at Dinsey, a lot easier.

I think I have 3 semesters left after this one.

and in between you'll be with us :D

Yesterday I was worse. But you know a mom's work is never done. I still had to be there for the kids.

Hugs, moms don't get sick days...

Bonny, I'm glad MJ is having a good day. That line in your sig...about your heart walking around outside your body. My mom has said that to me for years...and I was like yea, whatever (flippant little me) until I had Em. So so true! Never dreamed I would have one, now I can't imagine my life without her.

Yeah, it is one of the truest statements regarding parenting that I have ever heard. It is truly something that you cannot understand until you are there.

I know. It's crazy sometimes (though 4 are adopted). I can't believe my youngest brother is 6, and 4 of us now are in college.

I think that's so great. Em is an only child, and sometimes (bad mom alert) I am thankful for that, and sometimes not. I think about adoption a lot, and then I worry I just don't have it in me. You are lucky to have your big sometimes crazy family...I couldn't live without my siblings now, though if you asked me twenty years ago the answer would have been different.

On the subject of families, it's okay to let a new puppy sleep by herself, yes?

OT: Have you ever had someone you thought was a good friend be so entirely rude to you that you started wishing you never had to talk to them again? I have someone in my life like that right now. And it's seriously driving me crazy. *sigh* :(
Why let them drive you when it's within walking distance?

I'll be over in a few minutes! (Do you have a licensed driver over 21 I could borrow?)

Unfortunately, they are all on loan at the moment.

I will just have to sit here and listen to what a bad mom I am...poor wee thing, she does sound lonely(but it is puppy bedtime). But she is not housebroken yet...can't let her roam free. I know she misses her brother and sisters. I feel bad.
