aw!!! Thanks Kat!

Here's the pic again! Hard to believe it happened 2 years ago tonight.

Awww, so cute! I can't wait to try CM this summer.

Hello.

Graduation practice/senior picnic was HOT. And yearbook distribution was so unorganized. I ended up with two at one point. It was crazy. But fun.

Tonight I'm going to dinner with my mom and sister, then I'm going to Barnes and Noble to get my 2 year English teacher (whom I will miss like crazy) a gift.

I hope everyone else is having a good day!

I remember getting my senior yearbook. It was a crazy day.

My mom and sister are nutcases for taking this photo.

Awww, look at you.

Holy cow!!! That is so awesome!

Kenai & Koda? Not familliar with them.

Thanks.

Physically and emotionally better. I still feel very guilty over the whole thing and was very paranoid on the way to work  But thanks for asking :)

Kenai and Koda are from Brother Bear. I'm dying to meet them!!! Joanna, good job meeting everyone :sohappy:

You can usually find them in Canada at Epcot.

YAY!!..What ya did?

I think so too..:)

Yes..You were a great mistake!

They are quite rotten in that way.

Awwwww That's so cute! You'll have to show us a pic of her dance costume!

:sohappy: Woot Woot! Was he good lookin?

Hey sweets!

 Mine aren't too far off... Mom is 46 - Dad 50 today... and I'm 25. But they got married when mom was 17 (no pregnancy -just the back woods of small town Ohio - they were in love and got married in high school...  )

Adorable. And age appropriate..maybe 2 years younger? I asked him how he was since he just came back to work from an injury. So he decides to just hang out and chat for a bit....I'm all giggly and covering my mouth and making big eyes and touching my hair (you know how it is) and then his supervisor YELLS across the room "Hey, remember she's married!". I like to have died, because in retrospect I think maybe he was just being friendly and there I was thinking impure thoughts. Naturally I turned a lovely shade of red...so busted.

And just for the record, I was only thinking!

LMAO Amy you are Priceless!!!!!

Love it.

There's not a thing in the world wrong with a good man flirting with you - it's not like you were going to cross any lines... and it is nice for a girls ego. ;)

Good for you girl! :sohappy:

*Pulls out the heater blanket for Chrissy* :D

I need y'alls opinions on something...

We were talking about getting a kitty instead of a dog. (curses I know) But at this point in our lives I think it'd be easier...

except... we have a toddler. And I'm afraid she'll terrorize a cat, not knowing better. I can just see her wanting to "play" and pulling the kitties tail and whatnot...

I've never seen a young child around a cat... do you think she could handle it? Or do you think we should wait another year or so until she really understands "gentle"?

I'm afraid I'm not much help here, because I'm on the fence on this issue. On the one hand, I think if you raise a child up with an animal, they will learn the respect and love that is due to animals. But this requires so much supervision...ie, you really can't leave the baby and animal alone together becasue both are so unpredictable. Just an example, I watched my five year old niece, who is a total tree hugger animal lover at her tender age, punch my dog on the side tonight. Not in malice, but because the dog is so playful and friendly that the niece is basically viewing Glory as a large and animated toy. In this situation, I don't blame either dog or kid (though of course I corrected the kid) and fortunately Glory has such a sweet personality, she didn't even blink.

Cats are less predictable than dogs, IMO. Speaking of nieces, Sissy did get them a cat because they wanted one and then propmptly had him declawed( ) because in play he would scratch the kids. Dogs, especially if you get the right breed, are much more trainable than cats but again, when both (kid and dog) are young, constant supervision is highly recommended. In the case of getting a kitten, accidents are less likely to happen, because cats will simply dissapear from a situation they don't like, whereas dogs will continue to hang around.

We had one cat prior to Em's arrival, so we had to adapt no matter what. The second cat adopted us when Em was about three, but then again he is my sweet baby Stewart, so he wouldn't harm a fly. Glory we got right after Em turned 5, and they have had some issues (puppy nipping) but all is well.

Sorry if that was less than helpful...bottom line is, if you really want a pet for Lizzy at this age, I think a cat is the way to go.

For Vince...

When I put Em to bed tonight, I had to wait until she was asleep to take the Ariel headband out of her hair. She wouldn't give it up. Also, she did a costume change from "mermaid Ariel" to "human Ariel". She was rather impressed with herself.

You might have a "mermaid-in-training" here.

Hope she doesn't start biting...:lookaroun

I got distracted uploading some pics for my digital scrapbook that I just started tonight...

Thanks for the advice Amy...

I'm not sure what we're going to do... but if we do go the cat route, I'd like to get an adult (or almost adult) from the SPCA. I figure it's easier to see their tempermant, and you can often find one that's used to being around children, so it would have some tolerance as Lizzy's learning.

I guess the only thing I remember specifically NOT liking about cats, was that we close our doors at night - and it was always a pain getting the kitty out of the nursery (before we had Lizzy) or our room (I cannot sleep with a cat on my head - and that's always where my cats ended up.)

Aside from that, I'll just have to watch lizzy closely the next few weeks... all of my friends have dogs - and she's great with them, but no one has a cat. So it's hard to see what she'll do.

However, every time we see a kitty (which is rare) she goes crazy. She get's all excited and sort of dances around while pointing at them. LOL She's afraid to touch them though.

Time will tell... thanks for the advice Amy!

Awww...I can totally picture Lizzy when she sees a cat. Great writing there!

You're right, when you go to the pound, they will tell you who is and isn't good with kids. I hadn't thought of that. An older, patient cat would work well. And yea, they do have a habit of wanting ro sleep with their humans...LOL, I can barely get to sleep without a cat on my head...I feel like somethings missing!:D

And dogs are a ton more work...not to ever suggest that cats don't need attention, but dogs can't go out by themselves, will eat themselves sick if you don't watch them, and will gladly chew whatever tickles their fancy.

I almost made a man/woman analogy here, but I restrained myself...

Good morning everyone. My computer has been acting crazy, so posts have not be showing up. Anyway, I am off to Day #1 of training. I will be back later (it is 8-4). Have a good day (oh, and photos will be coming soon. Still in the process of downloading them:dazzle: :brick: ).

EDIT: nevermind. Regina covered it.

My daddy turned 50 today.

It was a pretty monumental moment for our family...

My sister said I had my "silver" birthday and daddy had his "golden"

Now I really am old. I turn 49 this summer. I do have a 26 yr old. But he acts like he is 17 sometimes so I don't feel old but he is going to age me before my time.

Adorable. And age appropriate..maybe 2 years younger? I asked him how he was since he just came back to work from an injury.
