Just in case you actually wonder where I am for the next day or two. ;)

The real thing is so much better...

Good morning Betty!
Strange weather here.
Woke up to heavy snow shower.
Just a few flakes now and the sun is out.
Thank God it didn't stick!

Any ideas how I can lose 30 lbs between now and noon?

Amputate one of you legs.

I have gotten some unexpectedly rude replies to my posts in the past and I know how you feel.

:lookaroun
That's because your such a "violent person." :lookaroun

Sounds just like me!
I'd rather go to a library or bookstore than a shopping mall anytime!
Books are my passion and have been for as long as I can remember!

So would I. :lookaroun :o :lookaroun

I have started the Silmarillion (it's a HARD read)

I was asked to write for the DWT site, that link announces it

If I had followed the link on the page you linked earlier, I would have been able to figure that out :o Silly me.

Congrats! You're going to write for them? That's exciting! If you need a good copy editor, I'm your bunny!

Thanks. I hate gym, too. Probably my least favorite subject. It's not even really a subject.

And welcome to Bonny's!

At least the girls got to skip the wrestling unit in gym. Something about those uniforms, and mats... **shudder** And don't even get me started on taking those showers. :hurl:

Plus, being un-coordinated isn't helpful. I'm just glad it's all over now.

As for libraries, one day when I get millions and millions of dollars I'm building a house with a two story library, complete with one of those ladders on wheels, and a spiral staircase. Not that I'd ever use it, but it just looks so cool in all the movies.

My dream home would(will!) be... very... Connor-ish...

I don't tolerate one-dimensional people very well.
I tend to get angry with them... :lookaroun

But at least be interested in the world around you!

Reading to me was one of the best things my mom did for me. She's a kindergarten teacher, so it wasn't a surprise when I learned to read at 4! Since then, some of my best friends have been in books.

My parents read to me every night since I was born (well, after the baby, scream, yell, ________ stage... :lookaroun ). I've loved reading every since.

I can still recite my favorite book from childhood. :lookaroun

Goodness, don't we all sound like an after-school special. Reading is Fun!

But reading is fun! :sohappy:

I guess I'm not a real big fan of Michael Crichton.

I read "The Great Train Robbery" and loved it, but I'm not sure about his other works...

How does one take gym online??? :veryconfu

Lots of virtual jumping jacks? :sohappy:

I don't know. I think my parents would have to sign things saying that I exercised. It does seem like a weird concept, but we have it!

All of my life I hated gym - until I went to college. Then we got to pick from all kinds of cool gym subjects. Tae Kwon Do, Hiking, Horseback riding, and Scuba Diving! I only got to do the Horseback riding and hiking because of schedule conflicts, but I would have loved to take Scuba lessons.

I just didn't care much about field hockey, soccer or especially lacrosse :hurl:

Which would be??

Oscar's Grouchy Sounds

"One of Oscar's greatest joys,
Is rackety, clackety, jangly noise.
So listen up,
Or take a hike,
'Cause here are noises grouches like:
Trays crashing, Drinks spilling,
Biff and Sulley's power drilling,
That screechy, squeaky melody
Of a marching band that plays off key,
Big trucks honking, small cars beeping,
Noisy traffic crawling and creeping,
the blaring, and tooting, and hullabaloo
As I blow my trombone, and then toot my kazoo.
(Can I help it if noises sound best after two?)
And then there's my favorite:
The bang and the clash
The wonderful sound of collecting the trash!"

Now that I think of it... I don't think it was my favorite... it was just the easiest one to memorize. :lookaroun

I'm just not physically inclined. I have rather long legs, so I could be a runner, if I chose to, but it's just not.........well.........me. My sister was a successful runner in high school, until her knees gave up.

I can run... pretty fast... some could consider it very fast...
But I've never done track and such.
Besides, I get tired an end up panting for 5 minutes after 30 seconds of running. :lookaroun
