Good question. Does his absence coincide with the date of that fire at The Little Mermaid? I know that they said it was fireworks that set that blaze, but Pixiedustmaker sure did hate that ride...Even more interesting is what ever happened to @Pixiedustmaker ???
Ok, I wont say Pixiedustmaker again. I mean, why would I say Pixiedustmaker's name anyway? It's not like I sit around and think about Pixiedustmaker all the time.
Disney Parks Blog has posted a new video with a partial CGI ride through. Shows a little more detail that we haven't seen before.

There's a tiny glimpse of what "might" be the AAs at the very beginning, just before you exit the mine. I kind of laugh at how "exciting" they make it look; based on the videos of testing I've seen, the CGI trains appear to be running at least twice as fast as the actual ones will run...
It really is unbelievable that they wouldn't have this open for the Easter rush. Sad.
That seems like an awfully big gap between memorial day and May 2nd... I would think soft opening need to happen before you let the media in.Easter would be the worst time to open it. The parks will already be packed, so no need for a new golden carrot, and max crowds are the last thing you want for a brand new attraction. I've been thinking the "lull" between Easter a nd Memorial Day all along, and it's looking at that is what it will be. Wouldn't surprise me if they started soft openings right after the media event and time the "grand opening" for Memorial Day weekend...
I think the "video", if you wanna call it that, is pretty misleading.
also there are gems in the vehicles where I would have thought there would have been people. They also appear to be swinging a lot more then they are likely to in the real thing, especially at the start of the video which is a straight section of track.
haha agree...i mean how is disney supposed to promote this...they re not the only company to use propagandaWhat? An ad campaign that portrays a product in a more positive light it is than reality?!?! NOOOOoooo. . . .
It's a metaphor that Disney is using to tell us that all of their guests are gems!also there are gems in the vehicles where I would have thought there would have been people.

I think it's mostly about the speed of the cars (which looks much faster than it will be) and the swaying motion (the cars look to be swaying in places where they likely wont be during the ride).i don't see what is so deceiving about the promo video. The ride looks pretty much just like that.
