So I take it you will not be riding any of the 3 rides in TSL after it opens?

Considering that this is the same ride system as what TSL is getting...

Sure looks like a family ride to me! Or I guess kids are a lot taller today?
It's actually a very very good Flat Ride. Another reason why I think Cars Land is the best land stateside.

That Mater ride looks boring as heck! It looks like it's something on par with the tea cups. Or tea cups 2.0 if you will. It seems like something I would ride once or twice and then be done with it. Hoping I'm wrong and will be pleasantly surprised.

We all rode it a number of times, laughing all the way! It may not be Everest, but for us it was far from "boring". Oh, the little kids liked it, too. ;) Can't wait for the little green men!

The Mater ride is a lot of fun, but a huge amount of that is the soundtrack (Mater singing car-themed country) and its integration into the larger, wonderful "whole" of Carsland.

The TSL version won't be part of a fulfilling whole, and I'm not sure how the roof will effect the experience. I also think the Alien theming is a lot more forced then Mater's. That said, I have more hope for this then for the coaster - a lot will depend on the effects and soundtrack.

Hope they add some effects for the Green Alien Spinner during the night.

As a somewhat cynical adult, I have to say that Mater was WAY more fun to ride than I expected it to be looking at pictures. Luigi on the other hand...

Agreed. Mater might look boring, but when you actually get on and ride, it feels a lot quicker than it looks and is actually quite fun. It's not off the shelf ride from Bug's Land thats for sure
