Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway confirmed

It should be spectacular. Literally my ONLY complaint is what it is replacing. And regardless of that, I can't wait to ride with my family.
Does knowing what you're about to experience ruin new attractions?

Edit: I've always wondered that. I guess it's like watching videos on YT before you go so I'd say no.

Just got a full look at the ride system for this thing... Just Wow. Sure it's LPS, but at the same time, it is more. (Potentially more than has been speculated at).

I'm nothing short of thrilled for this ride, and my mom's favorite thing in the universe is Mickey so I can't imagine how excited she'll be to see it.

I know people are upset about the loss of the Great Movie Ride, but my family's been going to the parks once or twice a year more or less since I was born and we hadn't been on it in years, so we're at fault as much as anyone (same could be said for Ellen). after wondering for the better part of a decade when we'd see something (read: anything) new, I'm elated for this.

Depends on your personality. I don't actually like surprises. But knowing in theory how something should be doesn't preclude me from enjoying the real deal. I loved It and read the book 20 years ago.

It's someone else's turn to give the game away! It certainly has "first" elements for LPS.
Can it do hills and slopes?

(All LPS attractions take place on a flat, level floor)
As does this one.

Well, it certainly seems that WDW seems eager that when it does something new, it mostly goes all-in on upping the experience and not just phoning it in.

The HEA projections, FoP, Na'vi Shaman, FEA AAs, the expected SWGE E-Tickets.

I'm sure someone will bring up TSL, but, for a 'family land', it will surely entertain. I hope that Slinky Dog delivers on all the expected air-times and will become a fan favorite, too.

No. It's a kiddie land. Something coming a bit later to Orlando will be a family land. "Family" includes wowing the adults.

So I take it you will not be riding any of the 3 rides in TSL after it opens?

Considering that this is the same ride system as what TSL is getting...

Sure looks like a family ride to me! Or I guess kids are a lot taller today?

It's fun but still a kiddie ride. A family ride would be more like PotC, Haunted Mansion, etc.

A ride that wows everyone.
They literally just put a video out where an Imagineer explains that Slink Dog is NOT a kiddie ride. It's a family coaster that is "thrilling but not scary."
See above.

I vaguely remember a Mickey Mouse concept for Storybook Circus. Does anyone else recall this. Is Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway an evolution of that?

I wonder why...
Oh, they are absolutely trying to control the dialogue, but let's be fair. Whip rides that still exist are typically viewed as family flat rides and they have a height requirement.

If Slinky Dog were more ambitious and indoors with show scenes during the slow points, it'd be an E-ticket coaster.

For the cost of the land, that's really what we should get.

The coaster itself is objectively a family coaster--far more than the kiddie coasters at carnivals where you watch your kids squeal with delight over 10-foot drops as they go around the 400-ft track twice.

Isn't the "Kiddie" designation explicitly for something with a small height maximum? If not, it feels like it should be.

Can confirm...having gotten a peek into some of the "ride" itself...this one should be good!
I love how vague you guys are keeping the info for the LPS system for the Mickey/Minnie ride. This could be a good sign.

To counter the never ending unjustified criticism is my guess. If people were half as critical of places like Uni, perhaps their additions would live up to all the spirited hype we were subjected to a couple years ago. Rant over.
