I think it could be.@Magic Feather I know you can’t elaborate too much, but any insight into why you think Mickey will be one of Imagineering’s modern classics? The hype surrounding this surprises me, tbh!

Better than Mystic Manor?I think it could be.
IMO, its too apples to oranges scale wise. It would be like comparing Small World to Gran Fiesta, an entirely different scale of things. Personally, I would withhold judgement, but I would probably give MM the edge out of personal bias, but I would not harshly argue with anybody that deemed it superior.Better than Mystic Manor?

Does it fit its location well if the ride can be cloned and put in any toon town I agree with your excitement the ride is shaping up to be fantastic I just wish it came in a different location.I'm just pumped that GMR's replacement will do it justice! Horizons, Imagination, Alien Encounter, etc. etc. could not say that. And it also fits the location well.
Haunted Mansion fits New Orleans Square, Liberty Square, Frontierland and Fantasyland.Does it fit its location well if the ride can be cloned and put in any toon town I agree with your excitement the ride is shaping up to be fantastic I just wish it came in a different location.
Haunted Mansion doesn't fit in at tokyo it's just there lol As for Orleans Square, Frontierland, and Liberty Square you just made my point as the attraction is altered on it's exterior and interior in case of the phantom manor HEAVILY to fit its surroundings.Haunted Mansion fits New Orleans Square, Liberty Square, Frontierland and Fantasyland.
I don't see the problem
Has it been addressed why the Chinese Theater facade was chosen to remain? Budget conscious I take it?

The problem is they removed an excellent ride that could have been awesome again instead of adding the Mickey Ride in a new building.Haunted Mansion fits New Orleans Square, Liberty Square, Frontierland and Fantasyland.

Exactly. This would have worked perfectly using the old Backlot Tour then Art of Animation then Launch Bay queue. The Launch Bay crap could have gone somewhere else until it’s no longer needed in 2 years. The problem is they removed an excellent ride that could have been awesome again instead of adding the Mickey Ride in a new building.
They could easily close Launch Bay and have another new attraction ready to open within the next year and a half - two years but they chose not to.Exactly. I’m not defending destroying GMR.The problem is they removed an excellent ride that could have been awesome again instead of adding the Mickey Ride in a new building.
Nope.Any rumors about adding new facades around the theater to cover up the bare soundstage look?
A shame, but hopefully something that could be worked in if there is ever a restructuring of the area around the Commissary and Hyperion Theater.Nope.
Never said they would raplacr the Chinese theater but as it stands the Mickey ride doesn't fit in the theater more so than what came before it.And you think the exterior of Mickey wouldn't be altered to fit in Toontown?
You think they'd replicate the Chinese Theater? Seems highly unlikely
And yes, Mickey can fit easily both in Hollywood Blvd and Toontown.
They're both Hollywood in the 30's / 40s. The difference is one is idealized, the other one is cartoony.
Hence, changing the facade is almost all you need to make the ride fit both
I think a character from the 1920’s playing inside a theater from the 1920’s is a perfect fit.Never said they would raplacr the Chinese theater but as it stands the Mickey ride doesn't fit in the theater more so than what came before it.
