What is everyones opinion on the Chinese Theatre and the new Minnie and Mickey ride going in there, should the Chinese Theatre facade change. Or is it just too iconic to take away from HS??

Love the idea of Mickey getting a ride. Hate that they killed The Great Movie Ride.

I think it is an awesome idea. I do agree, the Great Movie Ride was unique and really should have stayed. However all good things come to an end.

Is it just me or would have the Mickey and Minnie ride have been more appropriate in MK, or is this what DHS needed, a little more traditional Disney

Every time I hear that saying I think about Star Trek The Next Generation.

I personally think it fits in either park, but DHS needed it more than MK.

And you think the exterior of Mickey wouldn't be altered to fit in Toontown?
You think they'd replicate the Chinese Theater? Seems highly unlikely

And yes, Mickey can fit easily both in Hollywood Blvd and Toontown.
They're both Hollywood in the 30's / 40s. The difference is one is idealized, the other one is cartoony.
Hence, changing the facade is almost all you need to make the ride fit both

Probably the easiest ride to shoehorn into ant themed area. Just give it a movie theater facade, and you're good to go!

why? in my head I always though the ally where ABC crap on a plate is could be rethemed with new street like facades hang string lights across entire ally plant some trees and retheme the ABC to a large scale themed quick serve and than close all the theaters in front turn them into more retail (think main street size super store) and add brick stone stairs coming out the back of the stores into the ABC ally. turn the area into an ATM machine. tuck a small bar back there and boom.

Apparently Disney is going to make a big deal out of Mickey's 90th birthday next according to yesterday's Q$ Earnings Report. I'm having a feeling this might be one of them or not.

Disneyland hardly needs more attractions at the moment. let's fix one coast than we can swing back around. granted if it's very popular here I wouldn't be suprised if it's cloned.
Disneyland needs to remove things from a guest flow standpoint. It needs to creep out onto the water more in New Orleans Square and somehow widen the entrance corridors of Adventureland. The Astro Orbiter needs to move and Tomorrowland needs to be redone. The Tarzan treehouse needs to be removed or have it's entrance location changed. The queue for the Nemo Subs and The Matterhorn need to be modified because they create choke points as well.

An average crowd day at Disneyland feels like a 10 at the Magic Kingdom at times. They should be making those changes now in anticipation of Star Wars Land.
