I think you should take that as a compliment! If it helps, I can tell you that I do enjoy reading your posts. You seem very enthousiastic about your upcoming trip and WDW in general, and there's a positive and friendly vibe in your posts! (I know it's off topic, but I thought it would be nice for you to have at least one nice reply!)
Thank you!
I really appreciate your thoughtfulness (kinda like Pooh - thoughtful :D ).

Hmm...

Plagiarism - (noun)

1. Literary theft. Plagiarism occurs when a writer duplicates another writer's language or ideas.. Copyright laws protect writers' words as their legal property. To avoid the charge of plagiarism, writers take care to credit those from whom they borrow and quote.

2. the unauthorized use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author and the representation of them as one's own original work.
I did state that it was from another WDW site.
Someone else actually identified it in an earlier post.

Tink, I know everyone seems full of criticism, and I just want to give you this information so maybe people won't criticize as much. When you intend to respond to several people's comments, instead of making several consecutive replies, make one longer reply that includes responses to each person. If you need to include more quotes in your response, you can do that by using bbcode to insert more quotes (the quote command is [quote[ insert text you want to quote here [/quote[ --except with correct brackets). I only say this because it clogs up the boards and makes people have to read through extra pages of responses when you make several consecutive replies like the above. This can aggravate some people...

But you seem to have a very positive attitude, which is great. I always enjoy seeing other's love for Disney! :)

I think everyone's point here is, it wasn't someone else's responsibility to identify the source that you borrowed the information from. :brick: I'm sure with the amount of posts that you do that it wouldn't cause you any inconvenience to type out the link, or even just the name of the other WDW site. Not trying to be rude/mean/inconsiderate here but just realisitic? In the real world, that's just what you do.

I know it doesn't seem like that big a deal to you but I think providing a source is very important when you take information from somewhere else, please be nice too and just give them a quick bit of credit in your next post.

Just saying, "I got this from another site" doesn't give credit to the work.

That's like copying somebody else's writings in a book and saying, "I got this from a book."

No, we're not saying you need to do an entire bibliography but it's as simple as posting the link to the source you are quoting or borrowing.

Somebody put work into that and you just go and say, "Here you go guys, this is from another site."

I guess people can get aggravated over silly things.
If this site was aggravating to me, I wouldn't be on it.

All of the all seeing and all knowing Disney smarty pants need to just
SHUT UP! Everytime someone posts something previously posted or may post a justified, bonified RUMOR you all don't have to come stampeding in with your intolerance for new comers or whatever the situation may be, just lighten up... This isn't politics or religion we're talking about here, in the grand scheme of things none of this matters, so just shut your bazoos and discuss nicely and politely...

I'm seriously considering just answering questions on the boards from now on to help people out if I can & reading info. that will help me out.
I think I will stay away from posting new info. since that seems to cause so much aggravation & controversy.
It's not worth that...I'm just here to help out others & get new info. myself.
There is enough in life to worry about w/o having to worry about someone getting upset about a post.
So, I think that's what I will do - answer questions & read helpful info.
Thanks!

Well I like rumors regardless of the source :ROFLOL: .

I mean really, a rumor is a rumor..who cares which site it came from. Thats only my opinion and I understand that not everyone is like myself.

And are there specific rules as to how many times you can post in a thread? I mean, I am not trying to be fresh but it seems that people on this site are very preoccupied with post counts. Whats the big deal? If there are a lot of pages and you don't want to go through all of them, don't....or skip thorugh some pages. It really isn't that serious.

Lastly, this discussion forum is called News and Rumors, correct? So I would assume that nothing is factual therefore why would it need a source? There have been plenty of people who have posted things that did not have a source and until the forum is called "News and Facts" I think not having a source or declining to put it is ok.

I'm not trying to be a jerk here. I just feel that sometimes some people on these boards get a little to excited over posts.

Well said! :D
I know that I don't know everything about WDW.
If I did, I wouldn't be posting questions.
That's what I want to do is learn new things & help others w/ things that I may know about.
By the way, welcome - it's not always like this! :D

I agree about the post counts.
When I first joined, I didn't even know about the junior/senior member thing.
I didn't even know how many posts you had to get to obtain a certain type of "rank."
I am here to ask questions, answer questions & obtain new info.
I think some people may be taking this a bit too seriously.
It's supposed to be a fun thing.
I guess it is what you make it - so I will just keep a positive frame of mind & have fun!

Hehe, I don't think anybody is saying that...just saying, if you find information somewhere out on the web and want to share it with us...just simply include the link to the subject matter.

I gotta give you one thing...you're a very chipper person :D

I think I have decided not to create any new threads (too much ridicule about me posting too many of them or posting duplicate ones).
I will just stick to answering questions & reading info. that others post.
That way, I can avoid the conflict (I don't enjoy it).
I am here to enjoy myself - there are too many other conflicts in life.
Again, thanks!

I usually don't say much, much more of a lurker than a poster for this reason but you know what I had an opinion, I said it, and I don't feel I should have to apologize for it. Or have to deal with petty rants. I don't feel as though I should be afraid to say anything anymore here!

IMHO, with what I said, I don't see it as stampeding or even intolerance since compared to others here, I'm a newbie too. But when I posted news/rumor information previously that I saw and found on another website, I posted as much information as I could to provide source information such as the author's name and the name of the person involved in and their association with WDW. I tried to be as complete as possible to give credit where it was due. Is that really too much to ask from the OP or at all?

just saying, if you find information somewhere out on the web and want to share it with us...just simply include the link to the subject matter.

Yes, I don't think there's any reason to be immature about it and go "gee I'm never going to post news/rumors/info ever again," just if you can, if it's not your solely your first-hand information, just include a source and no one will care or question your intentions. Big whoo. No need to beat a dead horse here. Nuff said on my behalf.

Moving swiftly back OT, Star Tours isn`t a done deal yet remember. The rehab is for the Tokyo version (guess who`s footing the R&D bill) with an inkling it may go to Anaheim too. It`d make sense for Orlando to get it too, but it is as green lit as Space Mountains best-case rehab is.

i.e. not very.

This is an update from the same individual who did not know where the wall on Mickey Avenue would be going ....

First of all, nothing official has been said about Star Tours. I doubt anything would even start until next spring/summer when Toy Story Mania opens up along with Mickey Avenue. It probably would take awhile to complete, too.

Playhouse Disney is not going anywhere; They're building a large, temporary tent in the RnRc Parking lot to host the Playhouse Disney Live Concert series that they did last year. The Wiggles, Doodlebops and all the other odd acts for children will perform there in September/October which apparently will correlate with the RnRc refurb that has yet to be confirmed although we have been told in the Studios it would happen.

Playhouse Disney will eventually change, becoming Mickey Mouse Clubhouse which is rumored to include the talking heads and the obvious elimination of Bear and his friends. Rumors say that it will have Little Einsteins, JoJo and Handy Manny but we don't know anything yet.

And yes, Block Party Bash will be coming next spring.

We've seen the block party a few times at DCA. Frankly, I'm kinda disappointed that they're putting a clone in the studios. IMHO, the block party is one of the tackiest looking parades I've ever seen. Sure, the energy is great, but I think the floats -- with their bright and almost neon colors -- are too over the top and will be an eyesore in the studios.

You can state your opinion & I can state mine.
That's the beauty of it. :D
Why would someone want to put themselves in a situation where they are constantly ridiculed?
That's why I am opting not to post any more news or rumor info.
I will answer questions & read other info.
That is my choice.
By the way, I did state that the source was another WDW site - my bad for not being specific.
