In the industry in which I work I find that it has become common place to equate being told no with not being professional or with being abusive (example: You have to tell a customer no you can not pay for something and you are then automatically non profesional or abusive, simply by saying no, not how you said it.).

The same can be said about the certain comments in these forums. Just because someone states something about a particular post, posting style, or the fact that someone has started 178 threads in three months, does not mean they are automaticaly "not nice".

O.K. ... this is enough!
I do not feel that I am being mean.
There are alot of other posts on this board that are more cynical than any of mine.
Many opinions have been stated.
Let's move on!

no but they can be seen as a bit pedantic, and far too jobsworthy. Which, in itself - can cause hostility, as indirectly - it can be seen as elitism. :)

It is the: 'im so much better then you that i dont post the same thread' that starts to grate. Why people decided to (and i know i am guilty of it - pending how much plonk i have necked that particular evening) post in a thread just to point out :

grammer, spelling, punctuation and 'OH NOEEESS!!11 ive seen this thread LIKE a millions times this week' it becomes tiresome, and that person is being more hassle then the op!

everyone was a n00b once believe it or not

if everyone hugged we wouldnt have this problem :lookaroun

I intentionally did not state names in my post and was not directing it at any particular poster.

Drinking beer and lots of it is compulsory if you play rugby, that and singing risque songs, streaking and boysterous behaviour.
