Marvel coming to WDW?!?!

How is there a similarity? There is no disputing that The Twilight Zone is not in the public domain.

Disney, including Marty Sklar, said Al Lutz was lying about "it's a small world."
Just the discussion... There was always rumor about the hat covering up the theatre because of licensing... That's all...

I fear that Splash will be fighting a growing uphill battle against politically correct activists who will campaign to change Splash because of its Song of the South link to race.
which is pretty dumb, since zootopia talks a lot about discrimination and racial bias as well.

Mine was from a guy named Austin McGregor.
plot twist.. theres only 7 guys and 3 gals and they are all from India.

Ps, my workplace has a callcenter from Thailand. They all have to use "redneck" names (to convince the people they are speaking with formal native english speaking guys. Because alot of our clients instantly complain if they hear any foreign name)

Poor Steven, when it does happen a ton of people are going to be cursing his name.
If he even exists... ;)

let me make one fair comment about this upcoming news, whether it happens or not.. FOR YEARS, all this FORUM HAS DONE IS COMPLAIN THAT MGM was a half day park.. Now.. the powers that be, are trying to make it into , not only a full day park, but one that consumers want to come to again and again in the SAME TRIP.. and all I hear is complaints.. Disney has a chance to use the capital that it getting from it OWN MOVIES in a park that is about MOVIES.. and you don't want it.. then what is the point of making those Iron Man and Avenger movies.. sell them to some else.. BUT YOU CAN"T Because they are making money hand over fist.. YOU DON"T GET RID OF A GOOD THING.. not one that you own all the aspects of.. SO you might as very well own your rights IN YOUR VERY OWN PARK.. My only problem with anything that Disney is doing is TIME.. and how much time it will be BEFORE an actual ride of either Star Wars ,or anything else opens.. because with construction Disney moves with the speed of a dead snail.. .
This is beyond idiotic. Overhauling Tower of Terror with Guardians of the Galaxy doesn't extend the day. Adding a new Guardians of the Galaxy ride extends the day.

I am well aware (so I don't need emails/PMs) to hear that a $12-13 an hour (yes, the GOOD jobs at WDW) cubicle dweller returned calls and said this isn't happening (or whatever the wording/script said). Not knowing what was approved by Legal and CP means those calls are worthless unless someone spoke to Georgie K or Chappie or Colglazier and recorded it and I'm willing to go out on any limb that that didn't happen.

I wouldn't put very much stock in anything told to you by one of those cubicle dwellers. If you got Chappie on the phone and he said, "Don't believe what some Internet crazy said, we have no plans or intentions to remove the TZ storyline and overlay a GotG one onto our ToT attractions in Anaheim and Orlando, or even one of them. It's not going to happen on my watch and you can put that on your MAGICal fan site.'' then I might have some respect for what is being said. Otherwise, they're just doing their $12-13 an hour jobs, spin and lie and get rid of you.

I also don't at ALL believe this was the plan until it was put out by me and everything changed. I may have an ego, but not like any of your celebrity whores. Nothing has changed this week ... except that the info I put out over the weekend slowly seeped into the consciousness of Disney execs within the last 24-48 hours.
@WDW1974 Thanks for keeping us updated on what's going on with the Disney executives. Another question, you reported to us months ago that AvatarLand might get a third attraction (might not be a ride)? Anything to report on that subject. Once again, thanks for your information. People wanted Marvel content into the WDW parks but I don't think they had this in mind.

There is some logic in what you say and I get it. It does not, however sway the many people who do not want change for the sake of change. For what it is worth, my daughter bought a Pluto plush from the Hollywood Tower gift shop complete with his own bathrobe.
Rides experiences shouldn't be determined simply by what they can sell. If that's the case then rides like Big Thunder, It's A Small World, Spaceship Earth, Living with the Land, Great Movie Ride, Kiliminjaro Safari need to be removed now.[/QUOTE]
Not sure if you are trying to put me in my place or just commenting on my quote because I mentioned a plush, but my youngest, years ago, came off that ride in years. Pluto plush saved the day. I am not saying a ride has to have a gift shop at the exit or the ability to sell merchandise.
Count me in the majority who think this retheme is a bad idea.

I always thought that themingRock n Roller Coaster to Guardians of the Galaxy would open up a pathway for animation Courtyard to turn into a superhero land perfect. Please Disney read this post and continue....

I would assume that there will be more then one Marvel ride.. once you have the ownership back..

The Disney-owned Marvel movie brand was conspicuously absent from plans to rehabilitate Hollywood Studios. Although Disney bought Marvel in 2009 for $4 billion, the Florida theme park rights to Marvel characters like Spider-Man, the Hulk and Captain America continue to be held by Universal under a long-term contract.

Asked in an interview in July if Universal would ever sell those rights, Thomas L. Williams, Universal’s theme park chairman, answered with one word: “No.”
