While the idea for GOTG is beyond stupid for ToT it's funny to see that the universal blame is being put on the execs here who are clearly in charge of what's happening (as it should be) rather than on GOTG as a franchise itself.
Hyperspace is an overlay. The way this is being pitched sounds more permanent.Just saying the GotG sounds like a terrible idea. First Space Mountain to Hyperspace Mountain, now Tower of Terror to Guardian of Terror.
I have to have faith it won't come to pass lol It's the only thing keeping me sane with this news.Nothing more to add than what's been said. It could happen.
Lunatics are running the asylum.
Sad. Sad. Sad.
Ladies and gentlemen, I believe we found the imagineer/exec behind thisWhile I hate the idea of losing ToT, it makes absolute sense to trash it if a Marvel land were to take its place. Are guests going to come for one ride thats been around for ever, or come for a whole new well themed land? I don't see disney losing money from trashing Mr. Toad, or Maelstrom.
ToT won't fit in with the parks future theme of acquired companies, unless theres an Old Hollywood land (but really what else would go there? The street performers?)
OK, had to research the movie, since I never saw it. Watched the trailer.
I have no interest in the film, no interest in seeing it, and have no idea how it could ever fit Tower Of Terror.
Let's see:
Mr. Toad's Wild Ride
Horizons
The Poly Fountain
The original Journey into Imagination
Maelstrom
The Adventurer's Club
Would it really surprise anyone else if they did this?
I fear for pretty much every classic MK E Ticket. Clearly nothing is sacred.
They probably consider Stitch too "sacred" to get rid of.If there was any ride I wanted rethemed to Guardians of the Galaxy its SGE...no way would I want Tower of Terror rethemed in my lifetime.
