Were you in the front of the boats?Quoted for truth. The four of us got near-Kali drenched on it last December completely unexpectedly, and none of us plan to ride it again until this is fixed.

Seems they refurbished the AAs just not the ride itself. In line for pirates....just went down
Didn't they just refurb this thing? Sigh
Was the ride itself going 101 as frequently as it seems to be currently prior to the refurb? Or is it not going down as often as appears? I know a couple of the posts here about it being down were followed up less than 15 minutes later with "back up again" type posts. Still, it does appear to be having quite a few problems. The big question is are they different issues each time or the same thing repeatedly?Seems they refurbished the AAs just not the ride itself.
The boats are really struggling. Currently broken down on Pirates. Been 20 min or so now. Front row got me more wet than splash mountain...and the boat is currently sinking to the right... Not impressed.
imagine for a second that you have an expensive camera.. or cell phone.. or even a hearing aid or a device that cannot get soaked. Now think for a second why they wear ponchos.
My cell phone is waterproof and my camera has a case. But alas I won't get on a rant about carrying a DSLR around on "vacation"
agree.
I still wonder why they dont put some sort of rails BELOW the boats in the dropdown.
that prevents the boat from going too deep in the water..
Let guest relations know.Just got off pirates. This ride is becoming something I may not want to ride and it pains me to say that
I climb in the boat and there is standing water in the bottom. After the drop (where the front row got soaked) water came in a little over the side and we were shifting to one side. The boat riders actually all had to shift towards the left to keep from taking on more water. We became more worried about the water and stabilizing than enjoying the ride itself. That is sad and pathetic - what in the hell have they done
There are so many complaints, just on this forum, surely they are aware of this. I hopeJust got off pirates. This ride is becoming something I may not want to ride and it pains me to say that

The first few days it was reopened and I was on it, I wasn't seeing that much water in the boats, but they didn't seem to load up the boat too much with people the three rides I was on. Once I was in row three by myself and someone got the first row by himself.
Seeing what wait times have been these past days...I'm wondering if they're just overloading the boats trying to get as many people through...
They wouldn't get to throw out random time a ride should be down. lol it's ridiculous to think it needs 2 years. If the only problem is boats, Bob Iger's Gold Card would take care of that in a matter of weeks. What would such a refurb achieve that fiberglass boats would not?
A lot of it is new software and ride control. It's getting there slowly.Still, it does appear to be having quite a few problems. The big question is are they different issues each time or the same thing repeatedly?

This isn't the root of all problems but it's better than pre refurb in more ways than one.
But those boats....
Speaking of, I rode today. Was in the 5th row, and completely flooded with water, water was literally coming up through the floor. Have never experienced that in my 30 some years of riding the ride...aside from that everything looked and sounded good but as I think others have stated some of the new lighting is shining up on bare black walls (instead of the cool clouds effect) and that is poor show choice to me but whatever, those boats!!!!
I should add the scary thing is, people are going to slip and fall getting in and out. Its very bad.
Someone start the "Is the clock ticking on the Pirates of the Caribbean boats?" threadThese boats need to be in the same junkyard as the BAH
The boats may suck, but on the plus side, they were cheap... Bonuses all around!
