I'd hope they fix the Yeti, so as to help control the Yeti population. Stray Yetis wandering about, begging for food, occasionally picking up cars and throwing them... That's no good.

Looks like when they fixed our Yeti, the good Doctor slipped and gave him a lobotomy instead. Just stands there and groans now. Maybe they should give him an Addams Family overlay since it is October after all. for all the younger generations they could put a sign on him that says Lurch. Though they still might not get that. ;)

This is why marketing for the 5th movie will be, "come see the movie inspired by the ride inspired by the movie that started it all!"
actually, theres a movie coming out that already pulls that.

RATCHET AND CLANK THE MOVIE.
which will have a game (which is a remake of the first game of a decade or so ago )

so.. a game.. inspired in a movie.. based on a game.
full inception!

Although I understand your point why do so many people hate water in general? the amount of people that wear ponchos on Splash or kali is really a shame. Water drys off.
imagine for a second that you have an expensive camera.. or cell phone.. or even a hearing aid or a device that cannot get soaked. Now think for a second why they wear ponchos.

It really is just uncomfortable, especially when one's shoes get wet. I like water rides at times, especially when it's hot, but Pirates has never been a "wet" ride and should never be a "wet" ride. People should not have protect their cameras and etc... on this ride. The frustrating thing is that it seems that this is just because of the new boats and never something that the imagineers intended to change about the ride.

agree.
I still wonder why they dont put some sort of rails BELOW the boats in the dropdown.
that prevents the boat from going too deep in the water..

I saw that some of the newer Sonys have a 1" imager, and I read that having a large imager allows more light to be captured. (Makes sense). Perhaps this model you listed above has the 1" imager too?
they could be just using a full frame camera. like the new 7II S from sony.

They were going to try it with Kali and then they cancelled the trial. So I'm guessing they gave up on the idea.
How expensive are the Disney lockers? I know that Universal ones near the trill rides are like free for 30 minutes, and a few dollars for more onwards.
Arent Disney's like 10+ USD ?

Maybe they should just make the water issue part of the ride. In the beginning, we should get shot by cannons and start taking water.

When life hands you leaky boats...

And give the guests some pirate themed cups and buckets to get the water out as they advance?

Regardless of how expensive they are, they are not placed around the park by the water rides so that you can stow your stuff... Just at Main Street... which would be really inconvenient to go all they way back to Main street to put your camera away and then walk back to Splash Mountain...

When they were going to require their use on Kali, they were going to be offered free for a set period of time like at Uni. But now that they scrapped that plan, I'm not sure what they cost if you choose to use them. I have never bothered.
