Not the best image, but not a lot has surfaced. The whole background, that walkway is walled seating.
I like how people have already settled into the new garden as if it were a public park! Well done on the turf.

I wonder if people know that their family vacation photos are being posted on a discussion forum, and instead of commenting on the people and their vacation, we're commenting on the shrubs in the background.

(I'm glad we're not commenting on the people, by the way. That could get nasty.)

I can confirm that a few benches have returned to Main Street, near city hall.

Heres my issue with the new hub project, after seeing this in person, and I know they are not done, but why are there so many new light poles?? It looks ridiculous/cluttered, literally like a major interstate, they dont need that many on top of each other through the whole area. Thats the only thing I dont get.

Not thrilled with the speaker cylinders but guess it could be worse, it makes me think though Disney has lost their touch and art of hiding such things.

This is just speculation but after looking at the CG rendering of the hub again, it looks like the plan is to put taller and bigger trees back into the hub and have the light poles be "hidden" by all of the additional landscaping.

But I do agree all of these light poles are just making me cringe.

I like this design but it won't prevent many guests from standing on them. Oh and God help the parade control cast members who have to constantly tell guests to not stand on the walls and tell them to move because they are in an emergency walkway...

Doesn't look like vacation photos to me. DCP I'm assuming stands for Disney College Program, so they're most likely cast members. But still, I'm in agreement about your post. Gotta love the internet! :)

Yeah, I couldn't find a family vacation photo to put in the quote, but you get my point :p

I totally agree but we must step back and assess the reason for lack of benches. Lawsuits and guests leaving their brains at home.

There are a ton of guests who think they can one up everyone else and stand on these benches to get a better view of the fireworks and/or parade. There's also plenty of (caring, thoughtful, selfless) parents who think it's a great idea to let their child/children stand on these benches because their little ones can't see over everyone else.

Brainless children/parents/guests + benches = trip/fall hazard and injury

tl;dr people can't have nice things and Disney has to baby us to cover their butts
solution. add holes to the ground like they do with parade poles.
Make "plugable" benches... leave them set from morning til dusk.
and remove every bench during parades and fireworks in the same way they add/remove parade poles.
