I believe the temporary railing on the bridge are just there to keep OSHA happy, since it is still a construction zone and guests are not allowed in that area. In the pic below, you can see the permanent railing in the top right. It is a brass color instead of the old green. These new railing look very good in my opinion as I have seen them in person recently. I would assume that as soon as the new railing are ready to be installed then wooden ones will come down.

Ok, cool. Thanks for taking the time to explain it to me! I actually saw a picture of the new permanent railings on Twitter, but it was from a banned member so I couldn't post it.

While I like the look of the new tan concrete, looking at it now, I'm a little worried that it's too bright. The sun is going to reflect off of that light color, making pictures look not as good and making guests squint more. Like being on a white sand beach.
And now we see why they just added a Sunglass Hut into Adventureland! MM+ is showing it's worth. They have noticed that most people walk left first into Adventureland, and that helped decide on the placement of the new store. With the blinding new concrete, it's just going to be like herding sheep over to buy overpriced sunglasses. I can here the cash registers ringing from here!

9. Expiration date of notice of commencement (the expiration date may not be before the completion of construction and final payment to the contractor, but will be 1 year from the date of recording unless a different date is specified) November 17,2015
Yeeeeaaahh but c'mon, that's boring. All right all right, better question, does construction and work appear to be coming along quicker than anticipated, slower than anticipated, or about on target?:)

In general it seems to be shaping up quite nicely, although I still can't get over how absolutely atrocious those speakers are...

Yup. For a company that excels in being able to hide the ordinary so all that remains is the extraordinary, this move was pretty lame.

What happened to the good old idea of hiding speakers in bushes and fake rocks?

I feel like the speakerboxes on the lampposts have to be intentional somehow. They could've easily hidden the speakers and actually spent less money, as they wouldn't have had to order multiple different types of posts. Maybe they think it builds excitement for shows or something? I have no idea, haha. I'm just trying to figure out why they would be that way. Because it doesn't seem like the cheapest option to me, which makes it seem intentional.

No. It's going to be a hodgepodge. Like it already is. MK has its own Project Kaleidoscope going on.
I fear you maybe correct. They are doing hodgepodge at Animal Kingdom currently and have done so at the MK for years already. They use to reapply stain when concrete was patched or replaced now it is more piecemeal.

i suspect that they will dye to the final color once they pour and complete a half of the hub

I hope you are right, that would be great. I tend to doubt it but I'll be happy if you are correct.

I will hold my judgment on the colors until I see the finished projects.

Lots of guests don't even notice concrete color clashes. I do. But it isn't just at Disney, it is anything with color that looks patched or skimped on vs doing properly. Last spring I looked at the entrance to the MK and wished those bean counters would look at the concrete in that area. There didn't seem to be any attempt to match colors. Just good enough.
