Sorry to come on here with a question again, but I got my annual pass till April 4th and want to try doing one more hotel stay with that discount before its gone.

My question being; does the annual pass discount work when active at time of booking but not at time of staying? Or does the pass have to be active when visiting?
Pass has to be active when staying.

I sat in the queue for 90 minutes. I was thinking about upgrading my NBC booking.

It's pricey. But, I am going for 6 nights in the first few weeks of opening.

I'll stick with NBC for now, and watch the price. To be honest I wasn't expecting it to be open early February.

That's the kind of theming that they're eliminating at WDW. Why can't WDW resorts get this kind of detail?

Even the rooms are themed in a way WDW resorts just don't seem to do anymore -- you certainly wouldn't look at those rooms and think they're at a random Hilton.

It may just be me, but they appear to be trying to attract a very affluent clientele with this update. Not sure how well that will ultimately work. 🤷‍♂️
This hotel has always been a little insanely expensive. The big thing that stands out here for me is that they seem to be trying to bring the hotel up to a level where high prices can be somewhat justified.

I think I'll stick to a drink or two in the lounge on the way out of the park!

Ya think? 😉 (I was shocked last week when I called to get a room only price for one night at the end of September: more than USD 560 for three people at the Cheyenne!)

And then this got me thinking about the fact that DLP bundles tickets in with their room prices, (which I don’t currently need because I have an AP) so then I did the math as if I did need tickets - and despite the room only being incredibly overpriced, if I had needed tickets for the three of us, I’d would have spent less to buy tickets separately from the room. In the end I booked two rooms in our usual hotel in Chessy/Val d’Europe which has kitchenettes and an on-call shuttle service.

Its a good job I don't like most of the changes (not that I can realistically justify spending that sort of money 😂).

Also love the fact, that our pleb money isn't even going to be accepted for dinner at the Royal Banquet (Inventions) or the California Grill replacement anymore and they got rid of the Breakfast with Princesses in the park to put it in DLH for guests only. (All in a park, that could do with way more places to dine 😂)

RIP Cafe Fantastia

Was the refurb necessary? Absolutely. Did they do this thoroughly? Yes. Did they capture or improve the spirit & style of the previous version? For my taste, not really. I am surprised how generic & swanky it now looks - like some location from the "Crazy Rich Asians" movie or a fancy airport lounge. Will some guests still love this version (even more)? I have no doubt it will attract it's crowd.

For me the new DLH has dropped off my list of Disney hotels I want to stay (again). Inventions used to be one of my top 3 restaurants in DLP - even though it was already quite pricey. Now that the temptation of staying or eating there is gone, this should at least save me some money for my next DLP trip.
