They have been planning for this and can accommodate hoppers even with the increased capacity. Recall that capacity limits are of their own making.

But you can see why they would not choose to open HEA first, now. It would either be EF first with HEA arriving later or both on the same night. MK can’t be the only park with fireworks.

Of course that makes me wonder, why not Galactic Spectacular at DHS as well? I understand no Fantasmic! given the social distancing issues with performers, but wouldn't having a show at three parks be even better?

It will be hard enough to get people back to their resorts after 9 pm from two parks. So they picked the parks that can accommodate the most people at nighttime shows.

When COVID shut down DHS, SW AGS was basically a low level Pyro Spectacular. That's not really a dig, DHS kind of ended the high pyro and focused more on the low pyro game. IDK how many would escape MK/Epcot for that show?

Yeah, I understand RoL not being that well received - ideally it will be replaced sometime soon with a new show. But ToL Awakenings is very well done and enjoyable as a secondary show. It's far from a headliner, but a good compliment.
Maybe the 50th Beacon Of Magic is like a TOL Show? We really don't know what we're getting with Beacons Of Magic.

DHS shows need more close proximity pyro added to them in order to compensate for no aerial shells, similar to how DLP does it.

If they bring back fireworks in June, it would be really sad to see them not do a proper 4th of July show. Perspective is important, a lot of people had a really rough year and a half, so there are far more important things in life. However, it would bring so much joy to their guests who all shared that pain over the last 18 months. Anyways, whatever. I guess they'll do what they can.

Tough situation for them. I could be completely wrong but seems like they are weighing disappointing people for another month vs disappointing people on 7/4.

Edit: or have weighed, rather and decided against the latter.

As it stands they won’t.
