Actually the gift looks much better than what I had thought it would. I potted some herbs to but inside, and picked up a couple of cook books to go with it, and it actually looks pretty good. She'll hate it ofcourse, but that was basically the plan! :drevil:
I think it sounds lovely. Maybe you'll be surprised and she really WILL like it. :)
Hi there folks.

Off today. :D
Hey Freddie!!!

Yeah.
This is an extremely cheap aunt.
Never had any kids.
Goes on around-the-world cruises.
Yet won't spend a penny on any of her nieces or nephews.
I have yet to get a birthday card in the mail.
Sounds like Dave's sister. She's single, in her 50's, retired from the Navy, and gives my kids each a crisp 5 dollar bill for their birthdays, usaully a few weeks late.

Can't bear the thought of stretch marks, huh? Ah well, I'd feel sorry for any kid whose mom wanted the attention only on her.
True. I think she's more the "adopt a baby from (insert latest trendy nation here), then hire someone to raise it for yo" type.

BTW, 30% chance of storms tomorrow and Monday... just your garden variety summer pop-ups.
We had some "interesting" pop-up storms around here the last couple of days , which have led to some delightfully cool weather around here.

I'm thinking we're shutting down this garage sale by 12 - definitely not getting the crowds. And the bed will go out to the shed for storage - sigh.

Joel and I were just doing a Thomas workbook with numbers. I guess yesterday at the sitters they were counting up to 20, which is awesome. I've only heard him count up to 14. He's so smart. :D A lot of his academic skills are age appropriate. It's his behavior that is so delayed.

That all will come too, Jenn. You're doing a great job with him!

BTW, my friend from VA with the autistic son is coming here Monday for a couple of days. I can't wait to see them!!!
