He's actually an alumnus of DH's old high school - graduated with BIL. The retirement party was for the superintendant, who's been in the schools for 50years, so he came in a spoke briefly. He was very good.
His brother ran for mayor a couple of times here, so he used to be here a lot, then his brother died suddenly last year. He's been around here quite often actually - DD saw him in the grocery store she worked in a couple of times.

Nice that he hasn't forgotten where he comes from.
I've always admired his work. Do you remember the TV mini-series "The Holocaust"? That was one of the first things I remember seeing him in. He was very good in that!

He used to come across as rather arrogant, but he is a terrific actor, and his brother's death has really humbled him. They were quite close, and he was very upset when it happened.
