I'm very excited to get away. You have no idea. Sunny skies are exactly what I need. (She says as it is gray, stormy, cool, and rainy/snowy outside her window...and has been it seems for the past few weeks.)

And I'm excited b/c we're planning our next trip as we speak. Just don't know if it's going to be just a Disney trip or a trip with a cruise. I'm so torn, but the Disney trip alone will be much cheaper. Especially if we go again in Sept. and get free dining again. It won't be as great of a deal as last year, but hey, still mostly free food (since we'd be paying the tip now).

The only thing I feel bad about is that I don't want to Disney him out. But this seems much more his idea than mine. My idea this year was to go to Vegas and CA. But he seems to like this one much more. (I might have converted him. :lookaroun )

Oooh, you mean Disney's land/sea vacation? I would love something like that! Unfortunately I seem to be the only one in my family that does.

Yes. That's exactly what we're thinking. Except we'd book all the components seperately b/c of a few reasons, including but not limited to:

1. it would be cheaper. (Big one right here!)
2. We could pick the resort we wanted to stay at. (On the cruise, you have to stay at a Moderate, but if done seperately, we could stay at a Value and once again, would be cheaper.)
3. If we did it in Sept, we could still get the free dining on land.

WHF has never been on a cruise before, so this would be his first time. More reason to do a 3 day sea vacay. But me, I'm a seasoned cruiser. I've been to the Bahamas, Aruba, Barbados, Grenada, St. Lucia, Curacau, and the Margarita Islands all by cruise as a kid. So I know how fun they are and I think he'd enjoy one. :D

Going to Disney?
I haven't been here all that often lately.

Yes...just for a weekend trip. It was our Christmas present to each other. Staying off property at the Hyatt and only going to MK on Monday. More than likely going to DTD and PI to see the Adv. Club on Sat, and on Sun we're going to Daytona. It's a quick jaunt, but it will be so nice to get out of the cold!

Nibbs, my mom and sister will be in "Vince's FAVOURITE park" on Saturday.

Yay for Epcot! Too bad we're not really doing the parks much this time. But, then again, that's good, if we go in Sept again. Don't want to do too much. (Although, I'm reading other people's TR and am now getting a little sad about not visiting anything else.)

Wow..I've never taken a cruise at all - that sounds so great! Booking separately sounds like the smartest thing to do.

Well, yes, it does.

Especially when doing it for little money. (We are using our tickets that are supposed to be good still from MNSSHP since it poured the night of our party. Come to think of it, I think I still have a bag of sticky candy from that night in my pantry. Might want to do something with that. :lookaroun )

Yeah....that's what I've learned from the various threads that keep popping up recently here about cruising. I guess I"m not the only one getting on the bandwagon of a Disney cruise as of late.

If you book seperately, you have more control. And you can stay longer if you'd like too. Where as if you just do the 3 Water/4 Land, you have to leave after that. No extra nights.

Now, there are a few extra steps you'll have to take if you book seperate, but it is still well worth the cost of the time for the extra steps with the money you'd save.
