Little Mermaid Track Layout (not a question)

See you in September if you`re watching again :D

Oh, you will LOVE it! It's a totally new, totally 21st century take on the classic Disney water night spectacular! So many times the audience was left thinking "Did that actually just happen?".

Back to Mermaid, the Blue Sky Cellar has a brand new video playing in the viewing room that just debuted on Friday. Here's the YouTube version of it, and the bulk of it deals with The Little Mermaid ride. SPOILERS! Beware that if you watch this video you are going to see lots of clips of the Omnimover testing, animatronic previews, and even previews of how you are going to submerge underwater when the Omnimover dives down under the sea.

There's also several minutes of Walt Disney talking about his pride and joy Disneyland, and then several other parts dedicated to the new stuff coming to DCA like Cars Land and such. But the bulk of it deals with the Mermaid ride, and that directly relates to WDW, and WDW fans should learn something. Watch it on one of the HD settings and enjoy! :sohappy:

After watching that video wow. Even if the ride isnt that long it looks fantastic, as long as we get that version here too like the video shows and they dont make cuts.
Speaking of mermaid, I kinda thought vertical construction was to have begun by now? After riding the train and peeking through its still just cleared land nothing has been started.

Ok, here you are the pics (all of them are copyright of the Walt Disney Company. All rights are reserved.):

You can clearly see that the vehicles are circular, but this may be only a sketch, and not the final concept of the ride...
The ride concept in that art never made it past the conceptual stage. (Note how the caption even says "proposed".)
That ride is not being built. Anywhere.

That looks like the same technology as Pooh's Hunny Hunt at TDL. I wonder if that was ever seriously considered?
See above. Just a blue sky concept. That art is as far as it went.
The tech may show up at WDW though....

What the hell are you talking about? This looks fantastic!!!
Me and my family can't wait:D
Good.
I'm sure you will enjoy it. So will I....for what it is.

The video is great. WoC looks awesome. Swings....are swings. Mermaid looks like just what we expected, a nice, well-done D ticket. Radiator Springs Racers.....yeah...that's what I'm talking about!

While on the topic, does anyone know if Radiator Springs will be longer then Test Track? the area they are placing it just seems kind of small when you factor in the space needed to put the themeing and the track.

Having seen the new Blue Sky Cellar video, I am now even more exciting to go back to the Disneyland Resort in a few years once the expansion is done. The Blue Sky Disney blog puts it best..."By the time the First Phase is over Disney's California(or whatever it's called) Adventure will be a park worthy of being called a Disney park... come the end of the Second Phase the park will be worthy of being next to Disneyland."

Will the two tracks of Radiator Springs Racers become 1 track at some point? I assume this means that it's capacity will be similar to Test Track and not twice as much?

Yes RSR is smaller but has better themeing, AA's, goes 20 MPH slower but it will have a more intense feeling that will make you feel like your going 60. Also there will be 2 tracks I believe. As it is a race

Am i the only one jealous of DCA? They are getting all kinds of great stuff, and all we get is one mermaid and meet n greets, oh yeah, and the return of captain crap! I hope they start spending serious money at wdw in the near future

I liked the end of the video that said "This is just the beginning." WDW's would be, "Be happy you got the clone, now shut up."

These cryptic insinuations are tickling my Imagination. :lookaroun

(Should they be?)

Ha, so subtle. I was thinking the same thing.
