Legend of Jack Sparrow has some nice/entertaining tech that could be utilized well in a quality attraction/show. It was the execution of the attraction that was a problem.

Not saying anything about this particular Cars thing, but I wouldn't write it off simply because it may share some similarities with Sparrow.

I would think they just dug up an old plasma.

Maybe they can't, since they painted it chrome for star wars land. It wouldn't be complete without Captain Plasma.

To be fair I rather another Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow than another Cronicles of Narnia Prince Caspian. At least the projections were cool on Sparrow. Narina was just a glorified movie trailer.

I honestly don't know a lot about this new show yet.

I really hope this is going to be a good permanent attraction and not just crowd eating for the 50th. I do want something Cars related in the park. If it's short term while the other shows get replaced then I'm also fine with that

When I read that it sunds like they are testing the tech that was going to be used in the Wreck it Ralph attraction in TL @ MK, I presume if successful they may find some other site in HS to host a more permanent version.

That's nice to think about... But normally if a 'test' or something 'temporary' is 'successful,' it usually just ends up being permanent... Donald's Dino meet n' greets, anybody?

The big difference is this being done in SS, a space which they make a lot more money renting the space for private parties/ Disney Villain dinner shows bring/brought more money - than any attraction this is if it is well received would never become a permanent addition in that location, it would be moved else where. But I doubt it will it could be a nice little thing to take away the heat from GE/TSL/MRR.

I dunno, man. If it's super successful (Obviously it probably won't, but the theory...), they could just take the seats out of Path of the Jedi and rent that space out, man.

It used to be, and it made the most sense too since there was nothing worthwhile playing at the time (though I'd welcome the return of Sounds Dangerous). I remember seeing previews for Lone Ranger and GOTG in this theater.
