The place was busy......food court-wise It looked like some movement had happened with the Soarin' wall......it now has a small opening.
Ah, thanks. I'm sorry - I meant did the atmosphere look empty - with the balloons gone?

If I don't see photos, I'll be in for quite a shock Christmas weekend.

I did not have my camera with me

It looked "open".....not empty.

I can neither confirm nor deny this statement, only hope you are SERIOUSLY incorrect.
By the way, I'll get right on that Land Balloon Project I promised a while back. Does anyne have a close up pictue of one (preferrably the main one with the cloud) or blueprint or something? I have no Idea what the details look like. Thanks!

I have a few in my photoalbum...along with a few shots of the fountain.

Definitely gone

 The balloons are definitely gone now. When I went into The Land on 12/1/04, there were only 2 balloons up. When I returned to The Land on 12/4/04, intending to take more final pictures, they were all gone. It looked very lonely up there with nothing but ceiling to see. (It reminded me a little of going through the new Animation tour where they left up some of the original tour's walls, but destroyed everything creative inside it. )

There were two of the balloons in the Scenic Shop on the Backlot Tour at MGM on 12/3/04. They just happened to catch my eye as the tram went through the Creative Costuming and Scenic Shop section. I don't know if they will still be there very long, since they really weren't on display.

Sorry to confirm bad news...

Yes, I stopped by on the 4th and all were gone. The fountain looks a bit stark and small. As was said before the room just looks big, open and vacant, an empty high plain blue ceiling and construction walls on the side. All tables and umbrellas remain. The line for the ride was at least 20 min. each time I stopped in. :(

I can't even express the sadness I feel right now from the loss of these balloons....

Does anyone have a snapshot of this?

On the other hand, I think I may become traumatized...

EGADS!

They can't leave the atrium empty like that. They're bound to replace the balloons and streamers with... well... something! They just have too!

How about a return of the original "mural"?
