Well... unfortunately, he's now moved the rather candid prediction to "about a few months or so". :rolleyes:

...And now I have different elastics, which come even further forward on each side. It makes it feel like Dracula's fangs, and makes me look even worse. I've had these buggers on for over 3 years; I want OFF. :(

I know, right?! :fork: I am thinking about calling cust service and scolding them. Unacceptable. The same thing happened over in Minneapolis when the bridge collapsed a few weeks ago.

I finally got cell service around 8-9pm... and my VM box was full with messages from friends and fam to see if I was ok. So I played phone tag to tell them that all was well. Still... service was intermittent at best.

Thanks! All is good, for now. ComEd seems to have power stabilzed for now. However radar shows another nasty band of red and yellow storms moving in. Chicago primary radar seems to be down for emergency maintenance (and has been for the past few hours)... lovely. They must of been hit to.

Looks like Chicago had quite a storm last night! Glad jer checked in, and that Jon's OK.

Have you heard from the twins yet Steph?

Morning, Betty! Didn't get to talk to them, they were w/out power & their Dad's cell was dead. Got through to their Mom @ work (she was stuck there until about 9!). I guess she talked to their Dad before his phone died. Said they had about 2 inches of flooding in the basement so far...and they just bought new furniture down there. :( But other than that, they were ok.
Couldn't get through to any of my friends so I've got emails out to everyone making sure they're alright.

It's soooo humid here today - I guess summer's back!

I have known all summer that Joel was going to be gone all day - WHY am I still tearing up here? I can't get upset, because then Abby will be worried and upset, so I have to be the calm cool adult. But that's not how I feel! :(
