KODAK Wanting Out of Imagination?

Next Big Thing

I think the real question through all of this is: Even if Kodak leaves as a sponsor, Will TDO man up and finally move forward with this Imagination pavilion re-do or will it just be more of the same?

You and Lee seem to know. Is there something worth getting excited about?
Like I said earlier, I`ve given up on JII getting the love it deserves. If it did though, LPS would be a great ride system for something mysterious, dreamy and imaginative wouldn`t it?

I agree. But I still have hope. I think when DCA's expansion is complete some real attention is going to be focused on WDW and some new blood will be put in place. Disney just has too many good people, creative masterminds and people who really do care about their parks, not to bring WDW to the level where it should be. It needs some left coast love.

remember when the west coast had no love during the pressler days and how bad we felt for them? i guess at that time wdw was doing pretty well adding animal kingdom and the millenium celebration etc etc. Wow how that has switched now. Maybe we will get a turn of love sometime in the next decade. Paging Tony Baxter. I wish we had him for WDW.

The next decade is a very long time away and that would be ridiculous if it took that long for WDW to get some love. Could you Imagine having to wait 10 years for the resort to get some love? It would be rundown and stale to the point no one would be returning to the parks.

Well I guess I meant sometime within this current decade. Hey if it were my choice it would be this year, this month.

There is good news. WDW will not be the top theme park this year, TDL and DL will be. The only reason that the attendance was still high this year was because of the discounts, but they wont be able to ride on past glory anymore. DL and TDL will exceed WDW's this year meaning there going to have to find ways to compete and stay on the top. This is very good for the future of the parks.

Magic Kingdom has been number 1 even in other years where there was no new attractions or shows. I doubt this year will be any different.

Yeah, I've been barking up that tree for a while. I still maintain that you two know something.

As you can see by my screen name, avatar, sig, etc.. I'm a big fan of the original JII. I will continue to remain hopeful that the Imagination pavillion will get the love it deserves at some point. I'm hoping its sooner rather than later, but as long as it gets the love and attention it needs, I'm willing to wait for it if need be.

JII needs to be brought back to its original glory, with the technology available today they can return to the original premise of the ride and create some amazing effects that pay homage to the original attraction. I have faith in TDO, I just hope they don't let me down.

I try to remain optimistic.

I'm hoping that WDI and upper management has finally begun to understand the level of passion the Disney internet community possesses and is willing to put forth the effort and energies to give the passionate fans what they long for. I think we're slowly beginning to see that and I'm hoping it'll only just continue to build momentum.

With The Imagination pavillion being such a classic and loved attraction I'm hoping (there's that word again) that perhaps after the FLE is complete that perhaps a overhaul of JII will not be far behind. It is (was) a cornerstone of Epcot and I think we all would like to see it be so again!

Well eventually if this keeps up people will pick other destinations to go to and from what I've heard it's already started from some of the comments people are saying another park with a big attractions is raking in the attendance.

Yes and that'll last maybe a year or so till WWoHP becomes old news and the popularity fades to nothing and the attendance a that park returns to normal.

But back on topic I doubt the fate of JII will have a massive impact on park attendance.

As much as I'd like to see that other park succeed...it won't last.
