How will Olympus Coliseum be different? Will there be a brand-new world in place of the usual "Hercules" theme?
No, it's still Hercules. It's just different, can't say much. Just things have changed alot in many ways. It's coming up soon.

After successfully completing the next Gummi Route, Hedge Crossroads, you proceed to the next land.

Wonderland

Sora, Donald and Goofy start feeling the sensation of rapidly falling down a vast tube of darkness. As they begin to approach the light at the bottom of the tunnel, their rapid descent slowly begins to soften, as they gently land on the floor of the Rabbit Hole. Given the familiar surroundings, they realize that they must be in Wonderland. In this area, filled with generic knick knack, they hear the soft ticking of a constantly moving clock. In the middle of the circular room, there is a save point. After exiting the circular portion of the room, you move through a small hallway, which leads to an opening, which has three doors attached to it. Sora, Donald and Goofy enter.

They arrive in the Bizarre Room, another room filled with random objects, such as a bed, a grandfather clock, a fireplace, a flower pot, several books and a table. On the table, there is a small chest. The Rabbit's furniture can be folded up into the walls or flattened to change the room's structure, reveal treasures, or open new passages.

Directly ahead, you see a familiar face…or door. The Doorknob, who is quietly sleeping, awakens when Donald makes a racket, knocking over a piece of furniture. The Doorknob greets them again, though it seems like nothing’s changed. They seem giant to the Doorknob in appearance, so it tells them to open the chest on the table. They open the chest and find small cookies, which read “Eat me.” After doing so, the team slowly find themselves shrinking.

When they shrink down to size, the room has become massive, so now that the Doorknob is even bigger than them. However, now that they’re smaller, the Heartless appear to attack them. After successfully defeating all the Heartless, the Doorknob opens and let’s you into the next room.

In the next room, the team enters the Hedge Maze, a vast maze of twisting-turning greenery, which belongs to the Queen of Hearts. Throughout several points of the maze, the Queen’s guards keep watch. To continue through the maze, wait until they look away before proceeding. However, the challenge can become much more difficult when the Heartless start to appear. Make quick work of the enemies before proceeding. This area of the world was meant to confuse or disorient, so it mat take awhile for the team to make it over to the other side of the maze. After playing through the game a few times, the area will become more memorable to travel through.

They exit the Hedge Maze and arrive in the Queen’s Court, which is located at the end of her Hedge Maze. The Queen’s throne is located here. Upon arriving in the area, the team spots the Queen of Hearts in her throne, guarded by her card soldiers, as the White Rabbit looks on. The Queen sees the team approach and asks them what’s taken them so long. They’re confused by her statement. She continues to explain that they’re searching for that girl that disappeared minutes ago. Ummm…minutes ago? The tam realizes that she’s talking about Alice, but that event happened practically seven years ago.

When the team goes to explain, she states that time is not such a factor in Wonderland. Time actually doesn’t even exist, which is why something that happened years ago, can actually feel like minutes. However, the team knows better. Then, the Queen orders her cards to seize them for defying her rules and trying to alter her knowledge of her own kingdom. The cards spring forth.

-Boss: Cards (Hearts, Spades), Queen of Hearts-

This battle is actually a lot like the confrontation from the first game, only without that tower! This fight isn’t necessarily hard, but annoying. The Queen isn’t really the threat of the battle, she just stands by her throne, insulting you. The true match comes from her cards, however, you can’t defeat the Queen until all the cards are down. There are three red heart and three black spade Card soldiers. Make quick work of each of the cards before moving in to battle the Queen. Soon after, the Queen will fall and the battle will end.

After the battle, the Queen and her Cards are dazed and unaware of what’s happening. There is a save point located on the opposite side of the room, behind and arched hedge entry, but it’s not accessible now. The team quickly exits to the right of the throne, through another hedge entrance.

They arrive in the Lotus Forest, which looks exactly the same as it did six years ago. Actually, nothing much has changed since then. From out of the blue, a familiar face appears, the Cheshire Cat. The team is exasperated to see his face appear in a nearby tree hollow. The Cheshire Cat says a small riddle about “darkness traveling through the forest” or something or other, before disappearing into the darkness, from where he came.

Now, onto exploring the area. As soon, as you take a few steps, the Heartless will attack. After defeating the monsters, continue to explore the area. Hmm, it seems like the Unknown haven’t affected this world at all. Upon exploring the area, you’ll find several flowers, this time who actually talk and have physical appearance, who’ll playfully tease the team, especially Donald, by calling them “little buds”. However, if you give them the appropriate item they request, they’ll give you an even greater item. All of the former passageways to the different sides of the Bizarre Room have been sealed off.

At the back of the forest, you’ll find a trail of smoke, coming out of a newly parted alcove. The team enters the Forest Alcove, where they find a rather short-tempered caterpillar, puffing out smoky vowels from the bong he’s smoking. Thankfully, there is a save point to the right of the caterpillar’s rock. After saving your game, continue back through the Lotus Forest.

Continuing through the forest, the team finds a pair of identical twins “bopping” through the forest. They introduce themselves as Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. Before any information is exchanged, a flock of Heartless appear, sending the pair running across the area, leaving the team to fight the Heartless. After the battle, continue exploring the area.

Now, at the back curve of the forest, there is another familiar passage, which leads to the Tea Party Garden. The team enters. The team finds a large table, set with several sets of silverware and smoking teapots. At the back of the garden, there is a portrait, which features the Mad Hatter and the March Hare looking sad, almost as if they couldn’t enjoy their tea party. When the team goes to investigate, a sporadic burst of Heartless appear and the team is forced into a battle. In the midst of the chaos of the fighting, the portrait snaps off the garden wall and the portrait breaks, sending the Mad Hatter and March Hare springing forth from the picture frame.

After the battle, the Mad Hatter and the March Hare state that they have been trapped inside that painting forever by some evil sorceress. They haven’t had a tea party in years! So, they quickly make their way over to the table, where they enjoy celebrating their “Unbirthday Party.” The team quietly sneaks away from the scene, but not before the Cheshire Cat can have another say in things. He presents to them another riddle, in which he states that the darkness is heading towards the Doorknob. Quickly make your way back to the Bizarre Room by cutting through the Lotus Forest and disregarding the Queen in the Queen’s Court. At least save at either save point in the Forest Alcove or the Queen’s Court.

Back in the Bizarre Room, the Doorknob is sleeping yet again. The team jumps onto the table to open the chest and eat a cookie to grow bigger again. However, before they can do so, a Heartless monster descends from the ceiling and steals the chest of cookies.

-Boss: Gambler-

This monster has stolen the chest of size morphing cookies and you must get it back to return to normal size! The monster will cast spells that could turn Sora and the others into a dice, a playing card or coin chips. They can still attack as these different objects; however, both movement and attacking become much harder. After a period of time, they break out of these forms and return to normal.

The best way to avoid these spells is to avoid the burst of energy that emits from the monsters claws. The trail of energy will start to follow you, but dodge roll out of the wall before it can get to you. Then, move in to attack the monster dead on and before long the Gambler should fall under the reign of the Keyblade master.

Now that the threat is gone, the team expects there to be some sort of payoff? The keyhole? Then, Sora remembers. A flashback shows Sora sealing the keyhole found in the mouth of the Doorknob at their prior adventure in Wonderland. After the flashback, the Cheshire Cat appears on the table, where he gives the team the Cure Spell. After the event, go on top of the table and open the chest to eat one of the cookies.

Once you’ve returned to normal size, return to the save point in the Rabbit Hole to return to the Gummi Ship.

Jiminy’s Journal- Wonderland

Sora, Donald and Goofy returned to Wonderland after nearly seven years. Upon arriving, they reunited with the sleepy Doorknob, who led the way to the Queen of Hearts’ hedge maze.

Upon arriving, the Queen accuses them of taking their time trying to find that girl. The team realizes that she’s talking about the events that happened seven years ago. She sends her guards on them for defying her rules, but they’re no match for them. Upon arriving in the Lotus Forest, they reunited with the shifty Cheshire Cat, who was once again, full of riddles. Upon further exploration of the forest, they found a short-tempered caterpillar.

Finally, they explored the last stretches of the forest, where they ran into Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, who were running from a flock of Heartless and they released the Mad Hatter and March Hare from their trapped state to celebrate their Unbirthday Party!

Finally, they returned to the Bizarre Room, where a Heartless monster attacked, but the team quickly defeated it and continues their journey.

That was a really fun level, though without Alice it seems empty, but I suppose it has to be without Alice because she's escaped.

And that Gambler inclusion was great! Perfect place for it, with the cards and whatnot.

Thank you! Yes, without Alice it does seem like it's missing something, considering she's a prominent part of the world. But when you think about it, even in KH1, Alice wasn't even seen much. In this game, it's more like Sora, Donald and Goofy sre filling in for Alice on their own adventure. And I added in characters, such as the Mad Hatter, Marge Hare and Caterpillar because I felt like they also contrbute well to the story and were left out in KH1.

Possibly Alice can return?

Personally I've always thought the Alice world should have had a Jabberwock based boss.

Also, there was a great idea somewhere else I saw of Frollo willing to use the Heartless, seeing as they could cleanse the world of sinners, what with the heart being "one of the most sinful parts of the body" in his words.

Ahh! The Jabberwock sequence which had unfortunately been cut from the movie. I hadn't even thought about that. It might possibly appear in the future.

And Frollo might already be using the Heartless to his own advantage.

After completing Wonderland, the team sees that there is a signal coming from Radiant Garden and they decide to return to the world.

Radiant Garden (2nd Visit)

Upon returning to the Marketplace, everything seems to be normal. No Heartless or Unknown around, the citizens out and about and all of the shops open. The Electric Transit System is also working fine. Sora, Donald and Goofy think that the signal they received must have been sent from Cid and the other. Before proceeding to Cid’s House, you might want to look around the Marketplace shops for any items you might want to stock up on. Scrooge McDuck and Ludwig Von Drake both comment on the now operational transit system. When you are ready, proceed to the Town Plaza.

Waiting outside of Cid’s House, Cid is seen waiting for the team. Cid tells them some good news. The Heartless and the Unknown attacks have become less frequent, making life much easier for the citizens of Radiant Garden. He also states that Governor Rufus Shinra and his assistant, Heidegger have left the town for a short while, bringing some happiness to the citizens…and leaving the pathway up to the Radiant Garden Research Facility Center unguarded. Cid suggests going to check out on the area to see what’s up. No one is allowed entry, when the building should be used by the entire town. Sora, Donald and Goofy decide to check out the facility center, but not before going into Cid’s House to rest up.

Inside, Cid’s hard at work, as Leon, Aerith, Cloud, Yuffie and Rinoa are also seen, doing their own individual tasks. Sora spots a mirror hanging on the wall and stares into the reflection, seeing himself.

Three Years Earlier

Sora recalls the defeat of Master Xehanort and the keyhole sealing of Destiny Islands. He remembers the next day, at sunset, when he and Kairi sat on the beach, promising not to return to the island until Riku was with them. Sora remembers the struggle to want to return to the island with Kairi, but both remember to keep the promise. Sora recalls a visit from a mysterious unknown figure, who spoke wisely of the mysterious disappearance of Riku.

Back in the current day, Sora is brought back into reality and gathers with Donald and Goofy to head out. Before proceeding to leave, save your game at the save point, if you wish.

Back in the Town Plaza. Sora, Donald and Goofy start to make their way up to the Research Facility Center. Donald notices his reflection in one of the house windows and studies his figure.

One Year Earlier

Donald recalls the day when he completely lost his Mage Staff, along with all of his magic powers; the day he completely threw a tantrum. The segment then flashes forward a year later, just prior to the events at the beginning of the game. He recalls saying goodbye to Daisy and having King Mickey present him a wonderfully new staff, regaining his magic powers. He is so grateful to the King.

Back in the current day, Donald snaps out of his trance and holds his new staff firmly, as it represents the strong connection between him and King Mickey.

The team proceeds through the Bailey, noting that there are no Heartless in sight. The Garden Gateway area is still closed off for the time being. They proceed through the area and arrive in the Garden Walkway. In the beautiful garden area, surrounded by thick plants and cascading waterfalls, the team moves through the area. Goofy notices his reflection in the cascading waterfall.

Two Year Earlier

Goofy remembers the day that it had been one year since they had last seen Sora, Kairi and Riku. He then recalls the day where he accidentally broke Donald’s staff, whoops! He remembers the day when he bought Donald a new staff, but told King Mickey to give it to him, thinking that it’d do everyone a favor.

Back in the current day, Goofy leaves the waterfall and returns with Sora and Donald. They notice that the entire area seems much more beautiful and relaxed without there being any enemies or strict government. They continue to make their way up to the Radiant Garden Research Facility Center.

At the entrance of the outdoor landing of the facility center, Red XIII, the mysterious creature that they had met before, is send fending off a Heartless, before destroying it. He states that he’s been wandering about the town, destroying any Unknown or Heartless that lies in his path. The team thanks Red XIII’s goal, before he ventures out once again to defeat the Heartless or the Unknown.

Now, that the entrance of the facility center is unguarded, the team enters quietly to see what’s up. They enter into the Facility Entrance, the first room of the research center. Inside, only a few dim lights light up the room. To the left, Sora, Donald and Goofy find the Library, where a save point is located inside. The library is filled with vast books about the darkness, the light, Xehanort, the Heartless, the Nobodies, but not a mention of the Unknown.

Back in the entrance, on the right side of the room, you’ll enter the Computer Database, a room filled with data-filled equipment and computers. Back at the entrance, there is a second story, which is accessed by a staircase. On the second half of the room, there is a doorway which leads to Rufus Shinra’s Office. Inside, they spot a desk loaded with paperwork, a globe, which features the landscape of Radiant Garden, a bookshelf of books and three diagrams of the physical structure of a Heartless, a Nobody, and a Unknown.

As Sora starts to examine the area more thoroughly, he feels a tap on his shoulder and turns around to see Tifa. The team hasn’t seen her in about four years and are surprised to see her in here of all places. Tifa states that she now works, as an apprenticed researcher to Rufus. She actually really doesn’t do anything besides keeping the Facility Center in an arranged order. Rufus doesn’t let her do much else, but that. He just seems filled with secrets. Tifa has to go off to perform an errand. She says goodbye before heading off.

Now, that they’ve examined the area, there’s no other reason for them to stay. When, you are ready, return to a save point and return to the World Map.

The Facility Center consists of a Library, Computer Database and Rufus Shinra’s Office. Upon investigating the office, they reunite with Tifa, who claims to now be working as an apprentice researcher to Rufus. He doesn’t let her do much or tell her much. It seems he has many secrets. Not bad and when will we see one of King Mickey's flashback of former King Oswald and should their be a musical world based off the Princess and the Frog with Friends on the Other side as the boss song for Falicier oh and there should be a world based off Epic Mickey that Warren Spector could work on with Donald & Goofy looking like those buddies.

Well, King Mickey isn't going to have a flashback. And King Mickey has always been the king of Disney Castle, he's been around since the construction of that world. This was established in Timeless River in KHII. Oswald doesn't serve a purpose in this game. And there definitely won't be a musical world in this game, especially after the way Atlantica was panned in KH2. And I'm leaving Epic Mickey out of this because that's a completely different series, entirely.

Exciting! But not much story development... WHY did we just go back? To remember stuff? Not much to that, is there...?

This section of the game wasn't supposed to further enhance the storyline. It was to set up some things here and there for the future, but not enhance it. We went back so that we could better understand some events that happened in the three years that the game has skipped.

It was not only meant to be a quick recap, but it was also to help the players understand why the characters are where they are. The flashback brings the players back to that "familiar place" at the end of KHIII, while back in the present day, KHIV is a completely different entity. Whenever there is a time jump, it's always best to go back and explain some things and fill in some gaps. The players could get confused, otherwise.

So, this section of the game was meant to fill in the gaps and add some detail to the three year gap, which no one fully knows what's happened over the course of it. It was also mean to set up some plot points and details to further enhance the game in the future. Furthering the story in this section of the game, at this point, was never an objective.

What's next? It's been a while since it's been updated, so what's next?
Next world(s) tomorrow, the midpoint has now been placed on Dec. 20, the day after it's original previous release, just so now, it would air on a Sunday evening.
(Hint: Tomorrow is two returning worlds, however, one of them opens up a pathway to a completely unexplored world.)
