Will Radiant Garden be overtaken by the bad guys again? That is, sometime later in the game?
Hmmm, not exactly. Right now, the cliffhanger events takes place in two different worlds, one of them, mainly Radiant Garden. It'll take place in the middle of the game, like last time. The big cliffhanger is a lot different than the last game. It's a little bit more intimate on the destruction level, pretty suprising, and all of the storylines are more closely weaved together for this part of the game (which is why this game has been on hiatus for awhile. I wanted to plan out the mid-point completely, to get it out of the way, and then work backwords from there.)

Will it be taken over by bad guys? Kinda yes, kinda no. It won't be taken over, but a few several bad guys will be the cause of the big cliffhanger. Basically, this all takes place when Sora & co. go on a mission to rescue someone from the "bad guys". The person they rescue and the bad guys may not be who you expect. Or they might be. Your decision. Early Spoilers! Initially, I had no one dying, but then that all went out the window and now several characters are biting the dust. (I know, who could really die in a Disney game, but I do it in a more subtle way. Even in the last game, Merlin died, and he's still being referenced in this game, three years after his death.)

But everything looks promising with the midpoint so far and it should be exciting! I'm looking for it to happen just before Christmas time, which means this game is about to be put in full speed ahead!

Tomorrow, I'm posting the Radiant Garden section, where alot more info will be revealed. A lot has changed since three years ago.

Did you read my idea about Oswald's role?
I did and I thought about adding him into the game. Oswald is a character that should belong in Timeless River and I don't see him being in any world other than that. Both Disney Castle and Timeless River are NOT returning for this game, so it's hard to portray him in any world. He still might serve some other purpose in the game, but that's still to be determined.

Remember in the thread for KH3 when I proposed a minor world to be themed to Dumbo (minor, as in like KH1 and 2's 100 Acre Wood, KH2's Atlantica and KH3's Coral Sea)? How about themeing this game's minor world to Dumbo? It would be called The Big Top. And how about this for the world music, courtesy of YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5s9e99rS_oI. Mind you, it would have to be a little more sped up in the actual game, just so it's not so... um, slow. Anyway, how about giving KH4's minor world a Dumbo theme?

I thought about having a Dumbo world in KH4, but I ultimately decided against it. I decided against it, mainly because I wanted to bring in all new worlds and characters for this game (even though Dumbo was only a summon). I kinda have to look at all the worlds together and see how they play off eachother and Dumbo didn't fit in quite as well as the other ones did.

I have 16 worlds planned out for the game and that's the number I'm always going to stick to and I don't really see any of those worlds being eliminated. Actually, TWO of the worlds can be seen as "extra" worlds (well, technically, only one is an extra world, but I see the other as being a bonus world, too.) If a did have a Dumbo world, I probably wouldn't make it an extra world, it'd probably be a full-fleshed out world, at least I think it has the potential to be that big. But right now, I'm sorta stacked up in the world department.

Sorry, it's taking me forever to update!! This always happens, just like the last game. Things will start happening very quickly. Well, Radiant Garden coming soon after like a 3 week break! Then, things'll get cooking!!

Exciting exciting! (You better grade the Imagineer Parades, too! I feel like an idiot giving so much criticism without any back-up!)
I knowww. I'm sorry, I kinda got away from that. I'll be sure to return to judging for the last few projects.

Radiant Garden

Sora, Donald and Goofy arrive at Radiant Garden and realize that the town has been completely restored after the destruction three years ago. The Gummi Ship drops them off in the Marketplace, which has been completely refurbished and restored since three years ago.

Upon exploring the Marketplace, Sora, Donald and Goofy find several new shops, which are, unfortunately, not selling anything at the moment. The Markeyplace is surrounded by high stone walls, where trickling waterfalls cascade down the sides and into a river canal on the outskirts of the shops. Beautiful plants, trees and hedges line the outskirts of the Marketplace. In the corner, a save point is located. By examining the signs, Sora and the others find the Synthesis Shop, the Sphere Hunters’ Shop, the Duckburg Items Shop and Scrooge McDuck’s Munny Loft.

Inside the Synthesis Shop, Sora, Donald and Goofy find several Moogles working hastily on opening their shop. Inside the Duckburg Items Shop, Donald reunites with his nephews, Huey, Dewey and Louie, who explain that they opened this shop, selling transported goods from their home world, Duckburg. Inside Scrooge McDuck’s Munny Loft, the team reunites with Scrooge McDuck. The store is found in a big metal vault, lined with gold. He explains that, in this new establishment, you can store emergency rations of munny to claim anytime.

Upon entering the Sphere Hunters’ Shop, the team reunites with Yuna, Rikku and Paine, everyone’s favorite Gullwings! They explain that they opened their new shop because they had pilfered so many items from innocent passengers, that they were able to open this establishment. The prices of the items, which include potions, ethers, armor, elixirs and weapons for Donald and Goofy are rather high to start, but hopefully, the Gullwings will give you a rather nice discount! The Gullwings tell the group that Leon and the others are in the Town Plaza and that they would be so happy to see them.

In the distance, the group can here a soft whistle coming from the top of some ascending stone steps. The group travel up the steps to investigate. Upon arriving at the last stone step, the team finds a multi-car electric transit system, located at the Electric Transit System Station. The Electric Transit System (ETS, for short) travels on an elevated platform around the world and offers transportation to several other destinations in Radiant Garden. The carts are attached to suspended electrical wires, overhead. In an operation booth off to the side, Ludwig Von Drake it currently working on the ETS. It seems that the system had recently malfunctioned and it is closed off at the moment.

The team descends back down the stairs and back into the Marketplace. The exit around the corner and find themselves entering the Town Plaza. Once there, the team finds that the village houses have been restored and are nicer now, then ever before. Waiting there, Yuffie is seen, yelling gleefully at the team. She is so happy to meet them. She quickly grabs hold of the team and starts making their way towards Cid’s House, where the rest of the Restoration Committee is located.

Inside, the team reunites with Leon, Aerith, Cloud, Rinoa and Cid. They are all so excited to see them again and are excited to catch up. The former Restoration Committee explain a few events that have happened since the destruction a few years ago.

Ever since they started their reconstruction of Radiant Garden, the town has slowly been falling under a strict governmental reign. Self-appointed governor Rufus Shinra and his head assistant, Heidegger, have raised to power and are governing over Radiant Garden. During the reconstruction, they were supportive of the townspeople, but afterwards, they turned against them and used the townspeople for their own success. They reside in the new Radiant Garden Research Facility Center, which is located where Ansem’s Castle formerly stood. The new facility boasts a library, computer database and a research facility, showcasing the world’s past and present history. The crew states that, even though all is well with the world, physically, they’re getting rather tired of this unjust government.

After their talk, Sora and the other can explore the house further. In the corner, a save point is located. Inside, you can find Aerith’s Room, Yuffie’s Room and Leon’s Room. Each of their rooms are decorated accordingly to their personalities. There’s also Cid’s Basement, which displays a series of experimental contraptions, none which have been successful so far.

Back outside, in the plaza, an ETS cart enters the Plaza Station. It seems the Electric Transit System is working now. They continue through the Town Plaza and arrive in the restored Bailey. The pathway which leads down into the Garden Gateway, is currently closed off by a large gate. The only other way of exploration is to explore the area, which leads up to the Research Facility Center.

Back at Cid’s House, Cid realizes that he forgot to tell Sora about the Research Facility Center’s secret security blockades.

They make their way through the Garden Walkway. The area features a lush, mystical garden area, where vines line the stone walls, as water stream currents line the garden pathways. Hidden within the lush foliage, several detection rays are located, unbeknownst to the team. They make their way up the walkway, when suddenly, a barrage of Heartless and Unknown monsters appear. The team is forced into battle.

After the fight, the team proceeds out of the Garden Walkway and into the Radiant Garden Research Facility Center. On the large, outdoor landing, the team can seen the facility center off in the distance, while off to the side, the Facility Center Station is located. As the team is about to proceed to the entrance of the Facility Center, a huge monster emerges from thin air, again, forcing the team into battle!

-Boss: Reconstructed Reaper-

This is the first Heartless boss of the game! This Heartless is made up of discarded pieces from the past, used to recreate Radiant Garden!

The monster can often attack under the blanket of invisibility and can cause dame with its sharp claws, which are made up of destroyed castle spires. The best way to attack this monster is to wait until after it just finishes an attack. Then, lock-on to the enemy and head in for a combo attack. After one successful combo attack, the monster will become visible and make the fight much easier. If the Heartless turns invisible again, just repeat this tactic and the battle should end soon.

Just when all seems lost, a mysterious flash of red appears and attacks the Heartless, destroying it. The team moves in to see that the “flash of red” appears to be a orange lion-looking thing, with a fiery red tail. The creature suddenly talks, to the astonishment of the team. The creature introduces himself ad Red XIII, a mysterious being, who had been brought to Radiant Garden for reasons unknown. Then, in an instant, the creature is gone again.

Now, the Electric Transit System and all the shops in the Marketplace are open for use. When you’re ready, return to a save point. A new world has appeared!

Jiminy’s Journal- Radiant Garden

Upon arriving at Radiant Garden, the team discovers that the world had been completely restored, since three years ago. In the Marketplace, they reconnect with several friends and take a glance at the new Electric Transit System.

At Cid’s House, they met with the former Radiant garden Restoration Committee. They explain that, since the reconstruction finished, Radiant Garden has been under the strict government of Governor Rufus Shinra and his head assistant, Heidegger. The team continues to explore Radiant Garden.

Upon arriving at the new Radiant Garden Research Facility Center, a Heartless boss attacked, but a mysterious being, names Red XIII came to the rescue. Afterwards, the team was able to access the ETS and the Marketplace shops. A new world is yet to be explored!

Exciting exciting! But... ETS...? Isn't that, like, the thing from Twilight Town? Or is it going to be the new transportation mode of the game? Why can't you use the Gummi Ship? And is the next world still story setup or are we getting into Disney?

The ETS is sort of like the thing from Twilight Town, only in Radiant Garden. It's just basically a transportation system for Radiant Garden. It has three stops, the station above the Marketplace, the Town Plaza and at the Radiant Garden Research Facility Center. There are multiple carts for the transit system. It can take you from one place to another, just by boarding the cart. The Gummi Ships are still being used as the transportation from one world to another.

The next world will be the first Disney-themed world.

AHHHHHHHHHHHH... okay!

And I'm very excited for this next world installment! Is it still going to be up later?
The world is going to be up today. I now decided to follow an already made schedule, so that I know exactly what I'm going to post each day. So far, my schedule only goes up to the turning point, which is currently going to be posted on December 19th, just before Christmas. After that, the game is going to be on break until January 1st (so that a cliffhanger is actually involved). So from now, until the 19th, there will be approximately 13 worlds. There will even be multiple posts a day. It's just a lot easier to follow a schedule then to randomly decide to post the next world. So, yes, the first Disney world will be posted today. (Hint: It's actually had representation in the series before, but it's a completely new world.)

Back on the World Map, a new pathway is connected to Radiant Garden. The path leads up to the first Gummi Route, which is called Mountainous Trail. After successfully completing the Gummi Route, you are able to gain access to the next world.

Alpine Village

Sora, Donald and Goofy arrive in the quaint Village Square of a lovely Swiss village, surrounded by tall snow-covered mountains. As the trio walk across the cobblestone square floor, the noise echoes throughout the village. Suddenly, an alarming rate of Heartless and Unknown creatures begin to appear! The team is quickly forced into an unexpected battle.

During the battle, the monsters appear one after the other. When you think you’ve finished defeating the last of them, a new set of creatures appear. It seems like the battle will be endless. Then, a cutscene resumes. In the cutscene, Sora, Donald and Goofy look defeated, as if all hope is lost. Then, a sparkling blue light appears over the area, sending twinkling rays of blue across the area. When the rays disintegrate, all of the creatures are gone, leaving Sora, Donald and Goofy staring at this floating blue orb. The orb floats up to the fogged mirror of one of the village houses, when suddenly, Jiminy Cricket seems to recognize the area. He quickly runs inside the cottage, currently labeled ???, followed closely behind by Sora, Donald and Goofy.

Inside the cottage, the area is dark and unlit. The blue orb presses through the window and addresses Jiminy. Suddenly, the blue orb stars to grow into the beautiful figure of a woman, known as the Blue Fairy. The Blue Fairy states that Jiminy has returned to follow out his position as conscience to Pinocchio, the puppet. The Blue Fairy states that some time ago, there was an imbalance within most of the worlds (referring back to the turning point of KHIII) and that Pinocchio had turned back into a puppet. She states that with Jiminy Cricket and the others nearby, there is great hope that he could redeem himself and sets them on a quest to help Pinocchio. With that, she dissolves back into a sparkling blue orb and disappears out the window.

As soon as she is out of eyesight, the cottage lights up, as a display of ticking clocks start ticking loudly. Geppetto emerges from the stairs and questions all the noise. He is delighted to see the team and Jiminy Cricket have returned! He rushes up the stairs to get Pinocchio and then comes back down with the small puppet boy. He is just as excited to see the group as Geppetto. In the corner, you can see a fishbowl, with Cleo swimming happily inside, as their cat, Figaro, tries to paw at the small goldfish.

Geppetto explains that tomorrow will be Pinocchio’s first day of school and he should be getting some rest. He goes up stairs to tuck Pinocchio into bed. While he’s upstairs, Jiminy approaches the group and states that they should help assist Pinocchio to school in the morning. When Geppetto returns down the stairs, the team tells Geppetto their idea and he thinks it’s a great and helpful idea. The three spend the night at the cottage.

The next morning, head to the save point in the corner of Geppetto’s House, before proceeding to leave. Outside, Geppetto and Pinocchio are waiting for you. Geppetto wishes them a safe and fun voyage, while bringing Pinocchio to school and tells them to stray away from any temptations. The three start, along with Jiminy and Pinocchio, head out of the village and arrive on the Stone Bridge, a bride above a river, which leads out of the town.

As they walk along the bridge, two mysterious fellows approach Pinocchio, much to the dismay of the team. They reveal themselves to be Honest John and his assistant, Gideon. Almost as if on cue, a group of Heartless appears on the bridge and a fight begins. After the fight, Pinocchio, Honest John and Gideon have all disappeared. Jiminy Cricket comes rushing up to the group and tells them that those two mysterious figures have led Pinocchio away. He mentions that he heard something about some “Stromboli’s Puppet Theater”. They assume this is where they took Pinocchio and start on their quest to find Pinocchio and this Stromboli.

They decide to return to Geppetto’s House to tell him everything that just happened. Upon arriving at the village again, another burst of Heartless and Unknown appear. After defeating the monsters, the team enters the cottage. After calling out to Geppetto, the workshop man descends down the stairs. Before they can say anything, a crowd-gathering ruckus is heard from the Village Square and they go out to investigate.

Back outside, a large caravan has made its way into the center of the village. A sign on the caravan reads, Stromboli’s Puppet Theater. The moving caravan has a curtain on one side of it, facing the audience. Stromboli emerges from the caravan and addresses the audience for coming to his puppet show. Then, the curtain opens and Pinocchio is revealed to be performing onstage, alongside two other doll puppets. All seems to go well, when suddenly the two doll puppets turn into Heartless and everything goes wild. The crowd runs away, while the team has to deal with the Heartless. After the battle, Stromboli quickly wraps up the show and is sent on his way, bringing Pinocchio with him. It looks like the team still has more work to accomplish.

The team is on hot pursuit of the caravan as it exits across the Stone Bridge and into the Village Outskirts. Suddenly, another barrage of Heartless appears. Make quick mincemeat of these enemies before proceeding to chase after the caravan. The caravan proceeds out of the Village Outskirts and proceeds to the Grassy Plain. There, Stromboli stops the caravan and sets camp for the night. Now, Sora, Donald, Goofy and Jiminy Cricket form a plan to rescue Pinocchio.

Later that night, Sora quietly goes up to examine the scene inside the caravan. He can see Pinocchio, held captive inside a bird cage, while Stromboli abuses him, telling him about the fortune he’ll make off his little puppet. Stromboli exits into the back room of his caravan and the team makes their move now. Sora and the others quickly enter the caravan. After some questioning, Pinocchio explains that he didn’t think he was doing anything wrong. His nose starts to grow longer; looks like he’s lying again. Jiminy explains that a lie can only grow bigger and bigger, plain as the nose on your face. After Pinocchio apologizes, his nose returns back to its normal sixe.

Not that that’s out of the way, they have to find someway to help Pinocchio escape. They examine the large lock on the cage. They have to find a key…somewhere. Sora reveals his Kingdom Keyblade and points it at the lock. A ray of light shoots out of it and causes the lock to disappear. Pinocchio springs from the cage, causing it to fall to the ground, making a rather loud noise. Stromboli emerges from the backroom and sees what’s happening. It seems like Sora, Donald and Goofy have a fight to put up.

-Boss: Stromboli-

Stromboli is a big guy, who attacks with his fists. The best way to avoid damage is to mainly stay out of his way or behind him for the majority of the fight. The best way to deal damage is to stay behind him and to unleash powerful combos from back there. Never let yourself be straight on with him because if he attacks you, it can get pretty ugly. Before long, the fight should wrap up.

After the battle, the team quickly escapes from the caravan and returns to the village, where Geppetto is overjoyed by seeing Pinocchio return to him. Sora, Donald and Goofy state that they have to be off, but that they’ll return very soon to check up on them. Jiminy Cricket says goodbye to them, before following the team out. Geppetto and Pinocchio embrace.

Sora obtained the Blizzard Spell.

Jiminy’s Journal- Alpine Village

Sora, Donald and Goofy arrive in a quaint village, when I realized that I recognized this place. We quickly entered Geppetto’s House, when the Blue Fairy told us that Pinocchio had turned back into a puppet some time ago and that it was our job to set things right again.

Geppetto and Pinocchio had reunited with the team and everyone was excited to see eachother again. The next day, the team was to assist Pinocchio to school, but two mysterious fellows, Honest John and Gideon led him astray. They found him performing at a puppet theater, which belonged to a puppet master, named Stromboli. After a brief encounter with the Heartless, Stromboli escaped.

They followed Stromboli, until they were able to rescue Pinocchio, but not without putting up a fight. They returned Pinocchio home, where he reunited with Geppetto.

Wow! Great world themed to Pinocchio! Here I was thinking that brand-new worlds meant different characters, but we have a few of the old characters from previous games in here as well.

Anyway, remember in the KH3 thread when I proposed several magic-making Heartless for that game? Well, how about these types for this game:

  • BRICK MAMBO: Specializing in fire-based attacks
  • GOLD OLDIE: Specializing in gas clouds that confuse players and make some attacks miss
  • CYAN IMPROMPTU: Specializing in both blizzard and aero-themed attacks, a cross between the Blue Rhapsody, Emerald Blues, Sapphire Punk and Spring Metal
  • PEARL FUNK: Specializing in attacks that reduce levels, this game's version of the Striped Aria

What do you think of those ideas?
