Still think that would have been a good addition in Animal Kingdom. Even the pathway style looks like pathways in AK to me.

Exactly, especially since they’re seriously considering a Moana area in AK already.
The water cycle and conservation elements would be a better fit for AK, too.

I will be attending a cast preview on September 5th, and the attached email says photo and video are highly encouraged. Not super surprising to me but it seems like they don't really care about a spoiler embargo for this.

It's bizarre that they went to the trouble of creating a new "pavilion" symbol for JOW. Then as far as I can tell, it's nowhere to be found on the site signage.

Prior to the late 90s dissolution of the logos they absolutely were.
Even more recently there’s the WOM logo reintroduced all over the place with TT’s 2012 remodel.
It seems odd to make a big deal about bringing them back, and then not include them in the JOW signage like back in the day, whether the main sign or secondary pieces. It’s especially peculiar when you look at the park symbol incorporation at the new plaza and the odyssey symbol in that pavilion’s remodel. Once again it feels like the JOW team worked independently of the other Epcot overhaul teams.

That would be a blatant overreach of power from the president of Animal Kingdom.
They're ceding oversight of JoW to me since it should have been in DAK to begin with!!

Exactly It should have been in DAK or still on the shelf. Definitely not in Epcot and especially that location
I thought their goal was to transform Epcot into MK2 but now it’s part DAK now too. Maybe the Great Movie Ride will come next

The themeing and everything about it is just ghastly.
Walt would hang his head in shame to see what they did to his beloved Epcot. It just makes no sense at all.
