YAY! DH and I went in last summer and at the end were like "What was that?".
I think an up to dates current attractions area would be a good idea, especially if they could bring in some props & costumes.

It might not be the popular choice, but I say that they just close the stage down at this point. Until something worthwhile and lasting can go there, I just don't see the point of keeping it open. It doesn't cost much, but there is still an expense in changing the movie out and staffing it. Also, if this is a meet and greet there is a cost to the face characters they will need (since I would assume Jack would be the one to meet). Just doesn't seem practical when you can take that money and invest it into something more long term in a few years.

we did it when we were there recently (8/17) had our own private viewing:veryconfu. Didnt this use to house Who Wants to Be a millionare? I really liked who wants to be a Millionare. I thought there was going to be more to the narnia thing and when it was over i was like really... is that it? Heck the old Millionare walk thru for the Bett Midler film was better, so was 101 Dalamtion walk thru.

I forgot all about that Bette Midler film, but remember it well. That was during the glory days of the park being a studio, kinda miss all that.

Already have all the pirates stuff in the MK, is it really needed here too? Doesnt Jack Sparrow still appear in front of the ride outside?
Wouldnt be the least bit surprised if this turned into a MeetnGreet, pirates or otherwise.

He doesn't meet and greet, no.

He did for a very short time, and I believe it was only during parties (Pirates and Princesses, if I'm not mistaken).

The only good part of the attraction was when the massive wardrobe doors opened and you got a glimpse of a snowy forest beyond them. Everything after that was a letdown.

Yes, since Disney was foolish enough to let the Narnia franchise go, it's WAY past time the attraction went too. I'm very disappointed in how Disney treated Narnia. It could have been Disney's answer to Harry Potter IMO, PLUS the stories SHOULD have been animated in lavish 2D, not filmed in live-action with some lame cg critters tacked in. Hmpph!

Was thinking the same thing. I say just do like Millionaire, and close up shop until there's there's something REALLY nice and long-term that can go in there... lest we end up with a Pirates 4 M&G for the next 10 years.

What I'd love to see is a permanant WDW-parks museum. Not in the same way that One Man's Dream shows models; I'm thinking more of a graveyard/boneyard of former WDW props (they have a few already in the Backlot Tour prop warehouse). But imagine an entire big roomful! They could multi-purpose the space, even. Why not make this an East Coast version of Trader Sam's--a bar that, on this coast, will celebrate old park relics rather than tiki culture. I'm dreaming, I know--this will never happen.

Sounds a bit like my old favorite out-of-the-way lounge, the Catwalk Bar. I alwasy used to enjoy sitting at a table and looking into the prop cages to find interesting stuff. Granted that was old movie props, but I thought that place was great - doing the same kind of thing with WDW props would be great IMHO.

You are dreaming.

It's a minor miracle worth celebrating that TDO is actually turning this into a movie exhibit that opens only six months after said movie left the theaters.

So for how much longer is ElecTRONica running (Flynn's included)? The movie opened what, like nine months ago?

And they still show (or at least did back in June, only 6 months after the movie opened) the "preview" of 15 minutes or so of the movie in a theater that otherwise holds an actual attraction.

Other than the silly continuing preview 9 months after the movie came out, though, ElecTRONica is really a great nighttime event at DCA.

About time. I was starting to think that Disney and Fox had some kind of strange agreement, that it was still standing months after Disney lost the franchise.

Not crazy about a Pirates walkthrough. It's probably going to be the same disappointing thing. I'm hoping for a One Man's Dream expansion.

That space is too small to do an amazing attraction, but it could do something small. Maybe something historical, which would fit thematically since One Man's Dream is right around the corner.

I want a full-fledged Disney parks museum where it belongs, Downtown -- Downtown Disney, of course. Downtowns of real cities have shops, restaurants, entertainment and theaters, like Downtown Disney does, but they also have museums. Of course, it's a dream, but I've been dreaming about it for quite a while, so it's a really detailed dream by now!

elecTRONica at DCA is scheduled to run through April, 2012. The strong rumor from Al Lutz is that next summer the street party in DCA will be themed to "Mad Tea Party".

elecTRONica will have run for about 18 months by the time it ends next spring. But honestly, elecTRONica is still wildly popular and the theme (kitschy 1980's meets 21st century sleek nightclub) is embraced by several key theme park demographics and they seem to make a mint off of the bars alone.

The difference is that the Narnia thing at DHS remained for years and years, for no apparent reason. It opened with the first film in December, 2005.

That's almost six years that Narnia has sat there.

It's time has long since passed. It probably should have closed with the end of the 50th Celebration in late 2006.
