So the attraction did close down officially yesterday???

It seems that it did from everyone's posts on here, but I saw absolutely nothing on Twitter. Pictures of the closed attraction sign?

I just hope it doesn't remain closed for long. I would rather have a not so great attraction then a useless building. If they really wanted to, I think they could have that place re-worked for any of the upcoming films in a couple days. But knowing them, lets see its mid sept., I say we hear nothing untill at least sometime in october, and maybe we'll see an opening for the December holidays.

was in DHS day after Thanksgiving, all evidence of it was gone except for a small banner still hanging off the building

So so glad this is gone! They will probably replace it with another type of a new movie walk-thru, I'm guessing John Carter. But I just wish they would either expand OMD or add a new attraction. If they do keep the style of a movie walk-thru (which I'm gonna guess they would), they could add some more smaller exhibits within, having advanced tech and the like.

Speculation was still swirling around a Pirate of the Caribbean interactive exhibit. Shifting more from movie previews to almost an Innoventions type of feel where you can walk in with a free flow with games and such. But haven't heard that talk in a few months.

The movie-stage scaffolding that was outside (it held up the sign) is completely removed, as are the queue poles. It wouldn't be hard to rebuild something here, but for the moment, it kind of looks like NOTHING is going to go there.

I rarely ever say this - but in this case - nothing is better than what was there. Hopefully something worthwhile will be put in there one day.

A POTC exhibit would be okay, but I think it would make more sense to add that to the tank scene and queue for the now antiquated Pearl Harbor scene on the backlot tour. For the life of me, I don't understand why they haven't done this. I'm sure it's a money issue, as there are other projects at the studios that have also needed attention, but I really think it's past time they prioritize this and update it.

Since we are talking about the place Where Dreams Do Come True...How about a real Blue Sky exhibit for all of the WDW park expansions and the many new attractions that are about to be built.... :)

Wasn't One Man's Dream supposed to have something Coming Soon last year? What ever was that? Was it supposed to be expanded? Would it have been expanded into the Narnia space?

The Coming Soon section actually is misinterpreted by most guests. There was never a plan for expansion. What it referred to was the addition of new items in the attraction. In the last three months, they've added sections on Shanghai, Hong Kong's Toy Story section, Fantasyland Expansion and Cars Land. That's what that is in reference too.

Also of note - around the illuminated cases from the 1970's on, they have all received huge collages around them and they are beautiful. I'd say about once a month, the imagineers are adding new things in there.

Hope that clears up everything on that.

Didn't see this story was first posted in August but I am guessing it did happen then. I bet that they move the props and every from Sounds Dangerous into the space and have a walk through sound audio tour.
