Hello all! I just booked our airfare yesterday, also leaving the 7th out of Providence. I had an issue with SW putting up the flights so by time I went in this is what I got, a later morning flight 11:25 which was 125.00. The earlier flight was 75.00 leaving at 810...We didn't want to leave that early to the airport even though is only a 45min ride. We are returning on the Sunday 4:45pm flight @ 125.00. Yes if it goes down you have a credit, but you have to use them by a certain date, use meaning flying not booking. I just found that out yesterday. As far as prices going down, it did happen to me in Nov. 2 wks before we left, but the credit I have I cannot use as it expires this month, and the flight is for Sept. So sometimes changing and having a credit is useless. Other than that I have not seen my flights go down. We normally book on the day they are released.
Jess & I were just discussing yesterday where we are staying, we were talking about getting to the Port instead of staying at the airport. I though someone had mentioned Disney might be stopping checking people in at the airport for the cruise??? Even if we had flown in the day before the cruise we were not planning on going to a park. This way we would relax. Tammy is there anything to do at the hotels near the port, but we are still open for where we will be staying? After the cruise we are not sure, hoping for discounts!!!!! We would like to stay somewhere we have not..
We can't wait, now to get working on that fish extender!!! SO MUCH TO DO!

Haha! SO much to do!

Okay, here are some good recommendations for hotels near the port. There are others, these are just three of my favorites.
1. Radisson Resort at the Port - This one has suites with huge jacuzzi tubs, or just standard rooms. The pool is great and there's a shuttle to the terminal.
2. The Residence Inn - The residence Inn is all suites and there's a great hot breakfast in the morning. They also have a shuttle.
3. Ron Jon - Ron Jon is a good place to stay if you've got a lot of time because it has a kind of water park! It has a lazy river, water slide, etc. There are studios, one bedroom and two bedrooms.

@LuvsTheMouse, there's the Ron Jon Resort in Cocoa Beach that's not too far from the port. I was looking at the 2 bedroom villa for my brother, his girls, and my family (7 of us) in May and I want to say it was like $270 a night. I want to say those villas hold up to 8 people. So, if we had a group of 8 who rented out the room for 1 night even at $300 for the night it breaks down to less than $40 a piece. I used to be super familiar with Cocoa over 20 years ago but I'm sure I'd be totally lost now. Still, its not ginormous big out there, its not far from the port, we can shop the Ron Jon Surf Shop you see all the signs for, aaaaand have a full size washer & dryer. ((Yes, the freaky laundry person in me would be like "Oh! I could do a load of clothes!" in that short a time. LOL!!)) If I end up driving and it looks like I'll need to haul some gals out from the airport I can drive Tracey's Tahoe which seats 6. ;)

I won't be living around here BUT the wedding is around Pittsburgh so I may be. But I'll actually be closer to the Latrobe airport (Spirit Airways) so if they have a later one I may take it. We will cross that bridge when we come to it lol. But I'm definitely in for a travel buddy!
I forgot about Latrobe. I'm an hour from Pittsburgh, and probably just a bit more than that from Latrobe. I will definitely look into that.

We just booked our airfare tonight! We bit the bullet and rather than pay the $315 from Portland on Southwest we paid $254 from Manchester, NH on SW. The $315 wasn't a huge deal to me, but they weren't non-stops. So we decided non-stops were better for us, even if we have to drive an hour and a half to the Manchester airport. We will be landing at 10:15am and we are going to stay at one of the value resorts overnight. Will probably look into transfers to and from port if no one with a car that we might be able to carpool with is staying on property :) Flight home is the 15th at 6:05pm.

Ohhhhhh, the fish extender!! We definitely want to take part in that! :)

Taking part here, too. Not so sure I want to be list-keeper again. Tammy? Although, I do think you ladies would be much easier to manage. LOL! I do still have my Google doc for that, @Disneyfalcon. Shall we start populating it or do you have an old spreadsheet, too?

Oh yes, I'll keep it! :) It will be much easier since we'll all be meeting each other anyway. My old spreadsheet is nothing fancy, so lets use yours!

Yay, Deb! That's awesome news!!! I'll get with Tammy for any additional info I need to put you on the frontpage list. Don't worry about feeling lost. You'll be too busy and waaaaay too dazzled for all that! Plus, consider yourself lucky because there's so many folks who go on their first cruise with no veteran to lend a hand or give any guidance. Imagine fumbling around in a strange room in the dark. Yikes! So glad you're going with us! I, for one, cannot WAIT!
