I don't see how they do brick oven pizza if this is indeed a QSR. .

Maybe they could use the same sort of techniques that seems to work so well in Italy

Well, there is plenty of expansion room behind Italy (as there is for a lot of other pavilions too) though most of it is used for storage/facilities. I think this is promising, but I will hold out for a more official announcement before I get my hopes up, as this could very well be more backstage work.

I think having a QS pizzeria would be nice, but they would have to work to get it unique enough to differentiate it from every body else. I have seen fancier ovens and other methods done in QS style settings, and what they generally do is bake the pizza in a woodfired, etc. oven and then sell it by the slice by warming it up in a standard oven just prior to selling it.

I can't imagine that they'd offer the Pizza Planet/Pizzafari thingies. I was hoping for more of a Wolfgang Puck Express type of flatbread pizza. WPE can pump 'em out pretty quickly. And man they're good!

I'm surprised Tim's hasn't jumped all over this... would Disney allow them in there!?! They could even have a little shop selling Tim's products... it would make a mint!!!

yeah, as long as the pizza is not cheaply made, like everywhere else in wdw, this idea could really fly. they should look into santapios in east boston, as mentioned by an earlier member. they have THE best pie, we drive 3 hours for it. on the canada side of things, bring back the beaver tails and bring on the poutaine! :king:

WS is WAY to lacking in REASON TO GO unless window shopping for crap I would never buy anyways and food that is SO overpriced that nobody in their right mind would pay for if not vacationing.

The 2700 other eateries in WS must not be enough.

This is the SOLE reason, since opening, that people have said that EPCOT sucks and is boring. Really.

Although it is "kinda neat, I guess" to visit the different countries, how many people are delighted by spending $75 bucks on a theme park that is half filled with food and shopping. This is the same crap that is complained about in other parks, but for some reason, it is accpetable at EPCOT. Why?

Do guests with a highly inflated sense of self worth and delusions of sophistication really NEED to promote the WS for much more that what it is. OVERPRICED COMMERCIALISM!

In all honesty, if you had a choice, would you rather DUMP Future World or World Showcase and create a Disney Seas? If the absolulte most fantastic theme park experience could be had stateside, and all it took was scraping FW or WS, WS would torched by the villagers in a heartbeat.

Put in something worthwhile in World Showcase. Not to say that I don't appreciate a good pizza. Glad to see some Counter Service Italian on the way (Hopefully CS), but RIDES MAKE THEME PARKS. Otherwise, WS is just a very exotic MALL!

Y'all know Vegas is open 24/7??? And a lot of their "other countryish" type attractions kick EPCOT's butt! In Vegas, much is cleaner. Much of the theming is FREE. Much of the food is better. Much of the shopping is more diverse. Mexican shopping does not mean Tostidos. The mask shop at the the Canals Shops kicks the one in Italy's in the crotch. Canadian shopping is the same as the Team Canada shop at NHL.com. Japan's and China's shopping is the same junk that has been collecting dust since I was in middle school. Ever try to take one of those orange price tags off??? The paste will stick on your fingers for the remainder of your vacation.

Hope for a progressively futuristic World Showcase are as fruitless as ever. 20 years + and nothing to show for it.

I like World Showcase. its not too popular with the Richard Craniums of the world so is that much more pleasant. Though I can see why children wouldnt like it.
