Wow. Kind of hard to grasp the scale but it looks like it could be substantial.
I'm just saying, this better be up to World Showcase quality. Because they are better off doing nothing that cheapening World Showcase. Fair warning.![]()
If it is a pizza establishment I hope it is proper traditional wood fired and none of this deep dish cack.
I hope they go with a Naples style kind of pizza, because that is very traditional and appropriate for World Showcase! I also hope we get some of the traditional brick ovens! If it is a pizza establishment I hope it is proper traditional wood fired and none of this deep dish cack.

Agree on both comments. Something authentic and conservative desperately needed for the Italy pavilion. If it is a pizza establishment I hope it is proper traditional wood fired and none of this deep dish cack.
:lookarounPeek over the wall and.... Surprise!!
The Roman ruins idea would be nice if it was finally realized. Especially if it was the actual pizzeria.OOooooh! Scafolding!!
Can we please have some ruins!?:sohappy:

Exactly. The building would be in the very back, in ruins and the front area would be a nice plaza to eat in...Maybe covered.Agree on both comments. Something authentic and conservative desperately needed for the Italy pavilion.

The way it's going, I would also want to say during the summer months as well.Exactly. The building would be in the very back, in ruins and the front area would be a nice plaza to eat in...Maybe covered.
When do we expect this to open? June?
Well, would'nt that be convinient!:lol:Exactly. The building would be in the very back, in ruins and the front area would be a nice plaza to eat in...Maybe covered.

Oh,so you are a Pepe's?! I saw a special on the Travel Channel and it was pizza rivalries. Pepe's and another are a major rivalry. We want Pizzeria Vesuvio! We want Pizzeria Vesuvio!
That construction looks huge, confirming the permit diagram dimensions speculation. While I have to assume Patina will oversee the operations and kitchen, I would have rather seen the operations contract go to a group like this small world-renowned chain that really specializes in a traditional and critically-acclaimed product.
I can guarantee there will be no deep-dish pizza in World Showcase - not until they build a Chicago pavilion (which is to say, never)...
I am desperately awaiting the release of concept artwork for this new construction, by the way...
Maybe this will get a member of my family to eat authentic food from another country, even if it is pizza.
Seriously,we walked into WS for lunch and I said "Ok! Where do you want to go? Morocco,Germany,China,U.K.?" He said " I want a cheeseburger from America!"
Me-![]()
Sally's v. Pepe's. Closest product to these two in Boston is probably Santarpio's in East Boston, though I admit the New England mall chain Regina makes a decent slice. The new Pepe's outpost in Mohegan Sun is tantalizingly close for those of us from Rhode Island and Massachusetts... :wave:Oh,so you are a Pepe's?! Say, my parents once visited Yonkers. Maybe they ate there once... Yeah, they look like they could do a good job with maintaining the pizzeria. We want Pizzeria Vesuvio! We want Pizzeria Vesuvio!

12,I know he may not want some of the more extravegant foods, but at least get Fish&Chips or something. Even Morocco has a chicken wrap!Well, how old was he?
And that's how it is with most people...LTI was swamped. the rest of the eateries? Not really.
Oh,yes Pizzeria Regina. Although Sal's Pizza in Boston is fantastic! I might have to take another visit to Mohegan Sun and stop at Pepe's!Sally's v. Pepe's.
