Is there any truth to the following rumors?

I've been hearing these around here and there for some time now.

1. MK expansion will continue with Adventure Land with the tree house either being removed or given a POTC make over. The enchanted Tiki Room being removed and moved to Poly for a dinner show. It's spot giving way to a new attraction.

2. LMA stunt show will be given a Cars makeover and the backlot tour will be replaced by Radiator Springs.


3. COP will be moved to DCA.

4. Haunted Mansion will get an expansion of a gift shop.

Like I said I've heard all of this in various places but I'm am a natural skeptic is there any truth to these?

I will answer this one. I don't think you will see the Saratoga Springs Resort expand into DHS. :lol:

Radiator Springs??? Maybe!!!! Saratoga Springs?? No.

At this point, these seem to be fanboy rumors that may have some truth, but probably aren't too close on the horizon.

Well the only reason I can see it happening is that the new theme of DCA is Walts park. A lot of it is being remodeled to look like HW when Walt arrived in the 20's. Then you have Walt Disneys World of Color show, Silly Symphony swings. I just think COP would fit nicely.

I think you're right about COP fitting nicely in the new DCA. I would hate to see it leave us though. I do think the fact that DL already has the structure (Innoventions) in thier TL makes a move less likely.

From a practical standpoint, the peoplemover in our TL appears to be fully intergrated into the COP structure. If they pull out COP, they're kinda screwing themselves on closing the peoplemover all over again - and here they are right now doing some kind of work on the lights and speakers overhead. Why not do all of the refurb while you're re-building the track attached to COP?

I have no inside info on this particular rumor, granted, but logically, the pieces don't fit.

1. I highly doubt this. If MK is expanded it would most likely be from the upcoming Fantasyland expansion. I doubt Adventureland will get a Piates make-over. Either way I would rather see the long proposed Pirates Water Park.

2. I have heard this too and I don't know what to say. There have been rumours abound that LMA is losing popularity. (no wonder)

3. This wasn't at all a rumour when it started. It was just one person being creative. In other words, no.

4. Possible but not for a while at least.

Hmm..I heard the Treehouse rumor back in 2006. The Tiki Room is new, though. What type of attraction would replace it?
What would be replaced at the Poly? I don't believe it.

I also had heard this before, but then it is obscured with a Monsters, Inc roller coaster idea...I will believe it when Disney announces it.

So far, this is the most plausible for me. Even though I heard this for years now, it won't stop the actual attraction, and can be done in a few months. It could even have weird special effects! Now when this will be built is the question.

Interesting...I did hope BLT would get a chance to rebound after the demo of Residential Street. I guess not. :(

I wondered why they don't use that section of the park for filming now anyways? It could still be done...

Quick answer? Not enough crews want to use it for filming. Hence the end of thw working studio. The BLT will be gone soon.
