Is there any truth to the following rumors?

Well the only reason I can see it happening is that the new theme of DCA is Walts park. A lot of it is being remodeled to look like HW when Walt arrived in the 20's. Then you have Walt Disneys World of Color show, Silly Symphony swings. I just think COP would fit nicely.

Since it is being themed to the 20's, they should only have the first 2 scenes of the Carousel of Progress :ROFLOL:

I really don't see the Tiki Room move. There isn't too much space to put a large attraction, so it would probably be a show replacing a show. Why move the show to Poly to please some fans and be limited with what can replace it. Although, if they removed Aladdin, Tiki, the seasonal restaurant across from Pirates then there could be a nice E-Ticket thrown in there. Better yet for crowd control purposes take out the Treehouse, put the cue over there and have a bridge over the walk way to said new attraction.

If I'm not mistaken, Disneyland had a COP which was closed and turned into what is now Innoventions.

I don't see why they would move a previously closed ride back to the area again.

I can name a few reasons:
1. The Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage
2. The Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough
3. The Walt Disney Story Featuring Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln

All were closed and, for all intents and purposes, gone. Soon, all three will have returned.
I would love to have Carousel of Progress back here in Anaheim...as long as it's not the Now is the Time version.

I wondered why they don't use that section of the park for filming now anyways? It could still be done...
u wanna know why...cause just like Universal studios in Florida DHS got screwed by the actors and movie people in California who are too lazy to come and film stuff even though they can film more stuff faster cause they will have more areas to make movies and TV shows... and too all those people who hate BLT i just wanna know why cause i love that ride cause that is the only ride i can see actual props from my favorite disney movies

If they were to get rid of COP that would leave a large area for a new unique ride in that part of Tomorrowland, what with the Skyway building and Galaxy Theatre being demolished. You could even increase the area by gutting Buzz as arguably that has already been replaced/plussed by Toy Story at the Studios.

Does anyone know if there are plans rumours of anything major for this area?

You don't have to move the whole building you could just move the AA's. I'm sure the could easily fit on the ceiling of Ohanas.

That is very true, especially in the prop warehouse. So many artifacts, like the WoM AAs & props, the fridge from Mickey's Birthdayland, other stuff from HISTK and The Lottery, Khan from the HKDL exhibit, old Disney signage, Muppets props, those tall Communicore-like figures at one corner - oh, I would rather spend half an hour to one hour there than the tour nowadays! :D

And yes, I do love BLT, but without Residential Street, it isn't the same anymore...:(

From a practical standpoint, the peoplemover in our TL appears to be fully intergrated into the COP structure. If they pull out COP, they're kinda screwing themselves on closing the peoplemover all over again - and here they are right now doing some kind of work on the lights and speakers overhead. Why not do all of the refurb while you're re-building the track attached to COP?
.

Just FYI, they are only working on the lights, no speakers... All of the TTA speakers were replaced (including the speaker grills) shortly before the TTA went out of service.

I've been hearing these around here and there for some time now.

1. MK expansion will continue with Adventure Land with the tree house either being removed or given a POTC make over. The enchanted Tiki Room being removed and moved to Poly for a dinner show. It's spot giving way to a new attraction.

2. LMA stunt show will be given a Cars makeover and the backlot tour will be replaced by Radiator Springs.

3. COP will be moved to DCA.

4. Haunted Mansion will get an expansion of a gift shop.

Like I said I've heard all of this in various places but I'm am a natural skeptic is there any truth to these?

1. I doubt Adventureland will be expanded but I would not mind the Tiki Room moving.

2. I believe the Backlot Tour will be replaced by Radiator Springs but I think LMA will stay or get demolished.

3. I hope this is not true.

4. This sounds like it could happen.

Quick answer? Not enough crews want to use it for filming. Hence the end of thw working studio. The BLT will be gone soon.

and good riddance.. the BLT is not what it used to be... There is a ton of space there.. maybe they can come in from the left and build out a muppet area finally :)

moreover.. I don't think people realize how much space there is in DHS for expansion.. the true 'park plans' carry the park into plots of space that aren't used yet.. it would nearly double it's size.

I've heard that the land is unstable, however...

That true?

If the BLT rumors are true it'd be interesting since the Radiator Springs at DCA that is proposed and building looks to be huge. It'd definitely change the look of DHS completely...I hope that LMA stays a little longer I love that show and it was great to see Herbie again.
